Feelings can be a problem including being touched the wrong way by other people.

I experienced that in reality so I have to consider my own experience in relation to others.

We have real problems but only emotions and feelings seem to be the solution.

If the media and humanity as a whole got past their emotions, looked in the mirror and faced the facts about themselves, that would be a good pathway forward.

Well, for one thing, Roy Moore hasn’t made dozens of movies portraying protaganists who act just like him (often played by him) chasing after very young women. Woody Allen has.

Imagining Allen has a fixation with young girls is about as hard as imagining Quentin Tarantino has a foot fetish. Not very, if you have seen a few of their movies.

I have my own set of feelings and experiences. One of my coping mechanisms is consistence. If something is wrong for A, it’s wrong for B, C, D, and Q. If a standard of evidence (sic) is good for A, it’s also good for B, C, D, and Q.

Roy Moore hasn’t made dozens of movies ...

That's true. However, Roy Moore has been part of a religious environment that promotes early marriage and tends to the ... instrumentalization ... of girls and young women.

Google "Doug Phillips" and "Vision Forum."

If he were really a pedophile, someone else would’ve accused him of something at some point over all these years. Look at Polanski. Those kind of people don’t just “slip-up” one time, it’s a sickness.

>>If you don’t believe accusations against Roy Moore, why do you believe accusations against Woody Allen? The level of verifiable evidence - zero - is the same.

Ignoring the fact that he *married* his adopted daughter?

Not his adopted daughter: his sometime non-marital sex partner’s adopted daughter. Roy Moore married a woman young enough to be his daughter, too.

“That’s true. However, Roy Moore has been part of a religious environment that promotes early marriage...”

Is early marriage something nefarious?

“and tends to the ... instrumentalization ... of girls and young women.”

You’re being a bit oblique here... what exactly is it that you are saying Roy Moore has done or advocated for?

Marriage of teenaged girls and men in their 30s ...

If we were talking about those “Fundamentalist LDS” folks, what would you think?

I’m saying that I find it believable that Roy Moore was trolling malls and restaurants hoping to hook up with teenaged girls. Other people find it believable that Woody Allen molested his ... stepdaughter? I’m not clear on the actual relations in that menage.

Nobody has any “Law & Order” type of evidence for their beliefs, only what is said.

Sigh. He never married Mia and he never adopted Soon-Yi.

[Dylan] Farrow – who is one of the star’s three children with ex Mia Farrow – publicly claimed that Allen molested her as a child . . .

She's not the only child he raise that he also took an unhealthy interest in. In addition to (allegedly) molesting Mia Farrow's younger adopted daughter (Dylan), he married Mia's older adopted daughter (Soon-Yi). Woody Allen disgusts me.

Yup, Allen is a strange bird but I have serious doubts about those charges....Mia Farrow was insane with rage and capable of making stuff up IMO.

Wow. Ronan and Dylan Farrow are bringing their father to account.

A judge already said there was evidence to charge him with crimes?

Entirely analogous to Juanita Broaddrick's accusations.

There’s an interesting movie about Woody touring Europe with his band and Soon-Yi. It shows Woody and SoonYi’s relationship plus a lot of Woody’s great Dixieland clarinet playing. Good musician! He and Soon-Yi obviously love each other, and are very comfortable together. And the scenes with Woody’s parents are a hoot! Farrow is nuttier than a bag of roasted peanuts!

It’s still kinda creepy. Even just based on their ages and living arrangements.

I guess ‘artists’ live by their own rules. No one in my circle of friends and family ever acted that way.

I guess we’re just boring, LOL!

“Marriage of teenaged girls and men in their 30s ...”

Got a source for Roy Moore advocating that?
