Even after being on the receiving end of abuse on social media, Laurel Hubbard, a transgender weightlifter from New Zealand, won silver at the IWF World Weightlifting Championships.
According to New Zealand news website Stuff.co.nz, Hubbard, 39, became the first New Zealander to medal at the world championships in the event’s history, which dates back to 1891, when she finished second behind American Sarah Robles in the super-heavyweights division Tuesday in Anaheim, California. Hubbard lifted a total of 606 pounds while Robles, the first American to win a worlds title since 1994, lifted 626 pounds.

Sounds like they measured testosterone levels to qualify “her.” I’d think there would also be a requirement that the competitor be anatomically correct. The old dickectomy ... there’s no turning back now!
FWIW, the first-place finisher is an actual woman (Sarah Robles).
He stated that he was to immediately begin training for the Special Olympics.
That guy only won the silver? No wonder he left the men’s competition.
The problem is we are coming to a stage where toleration is not acceptable, as it’s not enough. You must *accept* and *celebrate* their mental illness.
There. Fixed it. THAT is a pet peeve of mine. It isn't a SHE, no matter what, even if they cut his Johnson off, it will be a HE. It can never, ever be a SHE.
