Any FR Fans Here of Amazon's "Patriot"?

Are there any other fans here of Amazon's "Patriot?" I thought it was going to be your standard international intrigue show since I saw it involved Iran and their nuclear development. Therefore I almost didn't watch it. However, I am glad I did because it turns out that this series is HILARIOUS.

I don't want to spoil it for anybody else by going into detail but if you haven't watched it you are in for a great treat. I haven't been this entertained since I started watching "Better Call Saul."

I have been binge watching it and just finished watching episode 6 of the first season. Oh, and I found out there is going to be a second season.

And now back to my binge watching. Just 3 more shows until I reach the end of the season.

Watched it, enjoyed it and wondered how accurately (judging from recent history) it portrayed U.S. Intelligence services.

Thanks. I probably wouldn’t have watched it, but it’s on my watchlist now.

I’ve been contemplating canceling my Prime membership for a while. Not enough content that I like to make it worth it for me.

Too bad Amazon seems to focus on making kids stuff and Mature Audience content.

Personally, I would like to see more intelligent content that is free of blasphemy, extreme vulgarity, and graphic sex and nudity. I don’t mind violence as long as it serves a purpose.

Considering this, is Patriot something someone like me is likely to want to watch?

What content causes Patriot to be TV-MA?

Ummm... Maybe content like a guy hiring a couple of Asian women to whip him with Twizzlers?

I have a really wild idea for season 2. An FBI agent is the chief investigator working on investigating someone they hope will rat out someone he really hates. No one would know about this hate except the chief investigator let his hate for the person out in text messages he sent to his mistress. Meanwhile his mistress works for a top FBI guy who also hates the guy so much that the guy's election opponent arranges for the top FBI guy's wife who is running in a state election to be paid hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign funds. Meanwhile both the chief investigator and the top FBI guy purposely sabotaged the investigation of the opponent of the guy they hate even though there was tons of evidence against her.

I know this is a highly unlikely scenario but, hey, its just a fictional TV show where you can let your imagination run wild.

Why the anger? That actually did happen in the show. A corporate bigwig hired a couple of Asian women to whip him with Twizzlers but it was clean because, as he insisted, it wasn't a sexual thing.

Will someone who watched the show please verify this for unlearner?

I watched episode 1 months ago and it didn’t capture my interest.

I may give it another look.

Amazon Prime is cutting back on originals, whereas Netflix is expanding their offerings. AP and Netflix have been rather disappointing in their new general offerings.

Well, that’s a bit more helpful. Your earlier comment sounded like more of a mockery than an interest in sharing.

For clarity, does season 1 contain graphic nudity and sex?

Is it patriotic, as the title suggests?

Yes, yes! Kinda strange, but very good. When’s the new season? There’s only been one, right?

I’ll also put a shameless plug in for Deadwood. If you can handle the language...it’s a great series.

And Goliath.

Or the hero(?) pushing the Chinese job candidate (his competition) out in front of the truck (bus?).

That was funny.

I do not doubt your veracity, but I will note that Twizzlers are the worst candy ever.
