Stan Van Gundy praised the work of Colin Kaepernick and other athletes who have protested racial injustice in an op-ed for Time magazine today, complete with a list of specific policy proposals on the subject.

Who the hell is Stan Van Gundy?
Regarding Detroit Piston’s coach Stan Van Gundy’s statement to the press that athletes protesting inequality are “Role Models of American Patriotism”, I have news for you Stan, the only reason you are making that statement is because you are a coach of a group of men who have the highest rate of thugism than any other professional sport.
Yes, that includes the despicable NFL. Rather than condemn them, you have chosen to embrace them since any criticism of their behavior would ultimately label you a “racist” and not worthy of coaching a predominately black basketball team in a predominately black basketball league……In other words, you’re just another pathetic sell out who would rather keep his job as a coach and not stir the pot amongst your players while at the same time flipping the finger to the real Americans (black and white) who not only watch your games but ultimately pay your salary.
And those same people are sick and tired of that crap and are subsequently turning the channel.
YOU and your multi-millionaire players need to keep their mouths shut and just play the game. Without basketball and its fans, who knows what life would hold for you and your players….
As a side note coach Gundy, three players from UCLA have just passed the final qualifying requirement to enter the NBA.
You might want to check them out since they are clearly role models of your definition of American Patriotism………
Excuse me, Stan Van Garbage, but since GQ (Gays Quarterly) named Coln K as their moron of the year, can you do what you are supposed to do. Which is teaching morons to put a ball in a metal hoop, which they can’t.
