Brian was the epitome of sophistication back when Roxy Music was big. I haven’t kept up with anything he does currently.
In today’s music world, there are very few Silk Dinner Jacket, Male Crooners around.

There are some ugly things about Brian’s private life and personal opinions, (A few clumsy statements about the effectiveness of some Nazi stagecraft) but I’m not worried about all that right now. We all say stuff meant to stay private. It will not effect my life.

Steve Morrissey of England fills this role also, but for a different demographic. Morrissey was lead singer for The Smiths. They came along during the Punk Rock, Indie period.

One of my favorites, too. Roxy Music was amazing.

So smooth and hypnotic. I can listen to this on loop non-stop.

Every time I hear Bryan Ferry I think of Karl Pilkington’s “Buy on Ferry” comment.

Omggggggggg

My favorite song, but I had never seen the video. Talk about ruining the song. Ugggggghhhhh, I need to unsee his staring into the camera and dancing like Elaine......... Help me, I need therapy.......l need to get over the trauma, lol.

It would have been better to see 100 My Little Ponies dancing to it or just some construction workers putting up rebar. That may have been the worst video for the best song ever! I need sodium pentathol right now.

Virtually impossible to go wrong when choosing a Brian Ferry/ Roxy Music song.

Pretty song, used to be a fan of Roxy Music and Ferry back in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s - I remember “Avalon”, used to have that CD.

The Avalon album would be Roxy Music’s swan song. Many track stunningly beautiful. Bravo for class and style.

Love it. It’s a must around the sailboat slips.

But Boys and Girls is a keeper too, for a different activity.

It’s certainly a far cry from “Love is the Drug.”

Bryan Ferry threw my mum out of his party when she told him his music was too repetitive...this was years before everyone else started telling him the same thing! (she worked for a record company)

That was an awesome little-aired song that I always loved, it was and still is unusual to hear it outside of college radio.
