The first anniversary of the election of President Donald Trump is to be marked this Wednesday, November 8, in Dublin, in what is being dubbed by organizers as a night of resistance.
To be held in association with the Irish Refugee Council and their projects working with young people in Irelands Direct Provision system, Irish Stand is the second event of its kind to be held by the grassroots movement which supports civil rights protections for all immigrants.
Last St. Patricks Day 2017 in New York, over 1,500 people gathered in the Riverside Church in Manhattan to take an Irish Stand against the anti-immigrant rhetoric pushed by the many Irish Americans within Trumps administration.
Raising $20,000 for the ACLU, the large rally featured names such as journalist Joy Ann Reid, comedian Maeve Higgins, Irish writer Colum McCann, among many other artists and activists standing in solidarity with immigrants of all nationalities in the US.

Is Donald Trump your president?
Lots of Irish illegal aliens in the USA, what they are resisting is the enforcement of our laws against illegal aliens.
Where’s the Impedance?
Socialist Irish are the lazy leftovers that didn’t have the nerve or the brains to come to America. They can all become muslims.
So any American can just go to Ireland, move in, and demand free services and then complain that it’s not more like America?
Dublin?
A night of resistance.?
Im worried!!!!!
(snicker, snicker!)
My 1/4 Irish is here to tell those in Ireland to drink your beer, boil your potatoes and STFU about anything that is not happening in Ireland. Stupid Micks.
DAYUM! No what is President Trump to do! At this rate he will get no one in Ireland to vote for him?
No! I get this , really! I always go out and protest and riot here in the USA every time Ireland elects a leader I don’t like.

Fookm
Dubin is a dirty, ugly city with horrible traffic jams. The people there have rotten teeth just like the English. Stay out of there.
Aye.......Wankers.
The kind of traffic jams in that city were not even as bad back when the streets were somewhat wider and there were no divided highways. It’s unbelievably bad these days.
Obviously St Patrick did not get rid of all the snakes.
Thanks for advice.
I’ll stick with Ballykissangel reruns.
No plans on going there anyway.
It's imaginary.
LOL, perfect.
activists standing in solidarity with illegal immigrants of all nationalities in the US.

The Irish are a strange breed.
