God help me, I actually watched an MLS Soccer game yesterday to avoid the NFL.

It was a playoff game, New York at Toronto.
It was being played in a monsoon. Both teams were down
to ten men because one from each team received a red card
for “a violent incident in the tunnel at halftime” (??).

Six yellow cards for mouthing off at the referee.
Toronto now has to go into their next playoff round
with their two best players suspended for red/yellow cards.

I should have watched that instead of NASCAR.

Actually, the nap is the same no matter what’s on the TV.

I was a two year letterman (er, lettergirl) in high school soccer. Did I play? Oh, heavens no! I was a manager for the boys’ varsity team. I went to enough practices, games and tournaments to learn that...it was not as horrible a sport as I was expecting! The NFL can be replaced.
