F yes, the big shot women who worked with Harvey were raped or voluntarily submitted to him in some way. THEY HAVE BEEN USED AS BAIT by both Harvey (naming them to his new victims, as where they could be in their career if they submitted) and as “cold comfort” after the fact when they told their friends. They’d be told that “Hey, it’s what you’ve got to do in this biz, look at [famous A list actress] , she went through it, she’s doing fine now...”
And because they stayed quiet, he raped hundreds more. So they aren’t popping up to explain how they chose $ and fame over “sisterhood and feminism and protecting younger women.” They think they are great people but they are not.
True confession: I waited too long to come forward on my abuser and many more were abused by him as well, partly my fault. I was just a kid and I did not know he went to to do others. But still. I feel the responsibility. What if I could have done something?
