Trump Data Guru: I Tried to Team Up With Julian Assange
Daily Beast ^ | Oct 26, 2017 | Betsy Woodroof

Alexander Nix, who heads a controversial data-analytics firm that worked for President Donald Trump’s campaign, wrote in an email last year that he reached out to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange about Hillary Clinton’s missing 33,000 emails. On Wednesday, Assange confirmed that such an exchange took place. Nix, who heads Cambridge Analytica, told a third party that he reached out to Assange about his firm somehow helping the WikiLeaks editor release Clinton’s missing emails, according to two sources familiar with a congressional investigation into interactions between Trump associates and the Kremlin. (CNN later reported Cambridge backer Rebekah Mercer was one of the email's recipients.) Those sources also relayed that, according to Nix’s email, Assange told the Cambridge Analytica CEO that he didn’t want his help, and preferred to do the work on his own.

Cambridge Analytica did not provide comment for this story by press time. But after publication, Assange provided this statement to The Daily Beast: ”We can confirm an approach by Cambridge Analytica and can confirm that it was rejected by WikiLeaks.”

sorry, I know it’s hateful Daily Beast - here’s today’s report from JA:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/25/us/julian-assange-wikileaks-trump.html

..”Mr. Assange did not disclose what kind of help Mr. Nix sought, only that he had declined the request.

“I can confirm an approach by Cambridge Analytica,” Mr. Assange wrote, “and can confirm that it was rejected by WikiLeaks.”

Now that the rats have spent 24 hours declaring that it is not illegal to look for “opposition research”, I can’t imagine how they’re going to spin this..

Trump committed treason when he ran an effective campaign against Hillary.

Similar to the Podesta emails. The democrats yowled about the supposed illegality of those emails while never denying their accuracy. Now with the truth about the dossier hitting the news, they now say where and how it came forth and if it violated campaign laws, it doesn’t matter as long as it is true.

This is real opposition research. Not a made up dossier the dimoKKKRATS are trying to pass off as opposition research. Also no one has found that anything from WikiLeaks was untrue.

CNN has been crowing about this all day, claiming it’s clear evidence of a direct line from the Trump Campaign to Russia.

“Trump may not have colluded with Russia, but he wanted to.”

But would working with Assange be working with Russia? Just the email thing wouldn’t have been Russian would it? I don’t see how this could translate to anything “Russia”. (Not that they won’t try to spin it that way.)

The trouble with spin is do it enough and you end up so dizzy, everything equals everything, if that’s how you want to see it...or want others to see it.

The “...but he wanted to.” was from something I read, somewhere...or maybe I’m confused and heard it on Rush? I do think Rush was quoting, though.
