This confirms my opinion that Millenials and Gen Xers are the most immature, sel-centered, spoiled brats I’ve ever seen.

A cruel action. He wants to show videos of the reaction to the cruelty. An adult would not be as upset as a child. The child would react more than an adult. Foolish cruelty.

I will never watch America’s funniest videos because I see nothing funny about a child falling on his face, or a dog falling into the mud. Nothing funny there. This is not funny. kimmel is a first class jerk.

a guy pulled something like that with my daughter. it involved taking her quarter. when she got upset, everybody laughed except me. I told him to return the kids money or there would be real trouble. I got in his face, and he returned the kid’s money. of course, to the family, I was the bad guy.
this is similar. it is humiliating the child for the sake of entertaining adults.

On YouTube , there are many videos of people pranking family members with fake EAS Nuclear Attack alerts on their TV’s. IMO, those pranks are incredibly irresponsible.

Some of the victims of those pranks are elderly people and young children.

Jimmy Kimmel’s Halloween prank can scar children...doesn't matter - as long as parents tape their kids' reactions when they're told their candy has all been eaten and send the tapes to Kimmel - and he gets to fill air time for which he's paid lots of money, who cares what happens to the kids......

When did Free Republic turn into Snowflake Republic? Most of those videos are funny and a lot of the kids are brats who deserved the prank.

You forgot the /s tag.

But if you are indeed being serious, and not being sarcastic, then I don’t know what to say to you. Making little children cry just for adult amusement, I find that to be repulsive. And those adults who enjoy such things...well, I think I’d better stop here.

Because this sure isn’t a case of to each his own.

My sister lives in an over-55 community. They started a tradition where you put a picture of a pumpkin on your garage door if you’re willing to give out candy for Halloween. This was supposed to be for the grandchildren of the residents, and at first it worked well. Well, before long, vans stuffed full of “recent arrivals from south of the border” started showing up, with their hands out. Many of the “kids” looked way too old to be trick-or-treating and didn’t even bother wearing costumes. Obviously they had heard that there were handouts to be had, and so they showed up in droves. As a result, many of the residents got disgusted and stopped giving out candy. A nice tradition has now been ruined for the kids for whom it was intended.

A practical joke on somebody who can’t even understand the joke is like kicking the dog.

It doesn’t PROVE that these are adults that are nasty to their kids and are turning them into aggressive little beasts... but it certainly suggests it.

That definitely sounds familiar. My block stays dark for Halloween (almost no kids in the area), but that doesn’t even matter. Lights all off? No problem. We’ll ring the door anyway. I mean, even if we were giving out candy, lights out used to mean “we’re all out, sorry.” They also start extremely early now. I guess that’s so they can hit as many neighborhoods as possible.

Another reason why I hate Mexicans. My niece volunteered at a local soup kitchen some years ago and in short order the same thing happened. Mexicans started showing up in new SUVs and pickups because they were told there were handouts to be had. The church had to close the soup kitchen down because these a-holes eat up the budget.

Worked with a guy years ago in the construction business who liked to pull stunts. Hot sauce in a guys coffee, hiding tools, etc. He tried that with me. Told if he ever tried any kind of a childish stunt with me I’d kill him He laughed at me. When he saw that I had narrowed my gaze into a cold, hard stare and wasn’t laughing he knew I was serious. I don’t get mad. I get even.

I don’t blame you. That would be incredibly annoying.

I have a good sense of humor but, sometimes, people can take it too far.

Yup. As I said, it’s not a joke. It’s an exercise in sadism.
