In a statement to THR, Katzenberg said, "That Molly Ringwald had to read those words attributed to me and believe I said them is horrifying, mortifying and embarrassing to me." In an essay for The New Yorker, Molly Ringwald reflected on her own experiences with sexual harassment in Hollywood, including an explicit comment once made by Jeffrey Katzenberg.
"The head of a major studio and, incidentally, someone who claims himself to be horrified by the Harvey allegations was quoted as saying, 'I wouldnt know [Molly Ringwald] if she sat on my face,'" she said of a Movieline article in the 1990s, which included a reported quote from Katzenberg at the end of a paragraph about the song "Molly" by alternative rock group Sponge (included below). "Maybe he was misquoted. If he ever sent a note of apology, it must have gotten lost in the mail."
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, Katzenberg said, "That Molly Ringwald had to read those words attributed to me and believe I said them is horrifying, mortifying and embarrassing to me. Anyone who knows me now or back then knows I do not use language like that as a matter of course, or tolerate it. Ms. Ringwald, 22 years too late, I am deeply, deeply sorry.

Heck, I still own .. and wear .. that T-shirt. Although it helps that I have a set of whiskers that would make ol' General Burnside hang his head in shame ...
= sigh =
What am I missing here. Where is the sexual harassment? Katzenburg was talking to someone else about Ringwald.
Why would she consider this sexual harassment if she was not even in the same room when he said this about her.
In my opinion, the fact that you don't understand why that was wrong, speaks volumes about you.
Saying stupid things is not the same as harassment.
I wish I had a dollar for every time I heard a woman threaten to commit assault or domestic violence.
lol True. I lived in San Diego in the 80’s and hung out with a lot of military folks. We all knew that things are said with no ill will. And, God help anyone who was really harassing someone.
Well, write a couple more volumes about me, too. I think it's funny. Now, if he'd said it in person, it would be different.
But men, alas, still in this day and age tend to talk dirty from time to time.
I worked in an office with an incredibly gorgeous girl from the Czech Republic. At the time, I figured she was the prettiest girl Id ever seen in person. She had character, too; she was engaged to a rich guy and gave the rock back when they broke up, much to the amazement of the other women in the office.
Anyway, one day I was down in the shipping office with her boss, and she called down to ask him what to do about a situation that had come up. He explained what he wanted done like he was talking to a child and then, after she hung up, he said into the phone, Why dont you s my d, thats all youre good for! I was pretty shocked to hear the number two guy at the whole company saying that. The woman who ran the shipping office was present, but she showed no reaction.
Anyway, just something Ive remembered all these years. I could tell you some crazy stories about the Muslim foreman, though. :-o
This isn’t sexual harassment. Fake headline for clickbait crapsite.
Beyond the NFL, it seems to be the entire purpose of establishing Socialist governance. Making Weinstein's actions awfully hard for them to spin away. :)
BTW, I just want to mention this since Breitbart’s article has the comments blaming Disney for Katzenberg’s remark.
While I am ticked off at how low Disney has gotten in the present and since 1991, and am angry at them for not firing Katzenberg sooner, I want to say that we shouldn’t blame Disney for this particular thing from Katzenberg. He made that comment in 1995. Katzenberg had been fired from Disney in 1994, a year earlier, which means that Disney is completely innocent of Katzenberg’s actions this time since they cut him loose earlier. If anyone should be blamed, it should be DreamWorks SKG.
