...Here’s what ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported:

The NFL right now is considering a proposal that would change the wording in its operations manual and it would make it such that the players would be required to stand for the national anthem.

it is going to be fun to see Jerry Jones cut Dak Prescott

Won't be happening.

Unconditional surrender can be done without the blacks losing face. As I posted earlier, cancel the last 4 games. With no off season publicity/news and no NFL Draft(expo) they can think SERIOUSLY about what they have done to the game and contemplate no 2018 season. The players will chill out. They may just learn to appreciate the fact that in this country they are not lion farts. As our hero the Kenyan said It’s a teachable moment.

As Bruce Wayne told Selena Kyle - "I have a powerful friend"

It appears we do as well when it comes to killing the NFL

There seemed to have been a conflict in meaning.

Supposedly, there was a ‘policy’, but it was not considered as a ‘rule’. Thus, one could violate the ‘policy’ and be okay, but one could not violate the ‘rule’.

That should clear things up for you. :)

sometimes just standing will not in and of itself show any kind of respect

We are at the tipping point. America has had enough of NFL player’s protesting.

If Prescott, Elliott, Arron Rodgers, or J.J. Watt, okay, maybe J.J. Watt has no choice, were to kneel during the national anthem, their team owners would cut them from the team.

Exactly.

And, Donald Trump will continue to “mysteriously” win these scenarios because the insulated progressives don’t have a clue that Trump echoes the quiet, mainstream consensus.

Just because they eventually mealymouth around and feign respect for our Country, our Banner and our Anthem, is no reason for us, the former fans, to swallow the bait and toddle back as though nothing happened.

They may well be at the tipping point, but Dak has already said he won’t kneel during the anthem in any case. Be surprised if Watt did, but he is out for the season. Rodgers I doubt, that leaves Elliott. Jones said he would bench not cut. Read the link, Prescott says he doesn’t take freedom for granted. In the current situation no one on Dallas’ team is screwing with him over that stance.

The NBA has done this for years.

The NBA’s official rule book states as follows:

PLAYER/TEAM CONDUCT AND DRESS
(1) Each player when introduced, prior to the game,
must be uniformly dressed.
(2) Players, coaches and trainers are to stand and
line up in a dignified posture alongthe sidelines
or on the foul line during the playing of the
National Anthem.
(3) Coaches and assistant coaches must wear a sport
coat or suit coat.
(4) While playing, players must keep their uniform
shirts tucked into their pants, and no T-shirts
are allowed.
(5) The only article bearing a commercial ‘logo’
which can be worn by players is their shoes.

Oh, thanks for clearing things up.

Jerry Jones would not cut a star player that took a knee during the national anthem, but might bench them for a series or two?

And unfortunately, it is going to be a while before J.J. Watt stands for the national anthem or pretty much anything.

Yes, they’ve already shown their true colors. They’re hoping the majority of sheeple fans will forgive and forget.

Why is it that I would get fired for protesting or being political at work but the NFL players are somehow exempt from that?

Winner! And that right there is why the NFL won't get its fan base back for a very, very long time.

Bench until compliance. Suppose it depends on the contract provisions for violating team rules.

Benching star NFL players will have an impact and it will send a message when we see NFL team owners, general managers and coaches benching their star players once we get into the playoff stretch.

I hope Trump spends the whole weekend tweetin’ and loudmouthin’ about this. The more he can rile the players up, the harder it will be for the NFL to enforce this rule.

Hi.

In the fwiw dept, president Trump use to have a majority interest in a pro football team.

Heck, after 8 years in the WH, he will need a hobby.

Kneeling will end way before that. Won't be any in playoffs.

i don’t like celebrations when you make a tackle or you’re a defensive back and the receiver doesn’t catch the ball and you give the incomplete sign and run 20 years and shake tour head no.

The things you mention should be called as unsportsmanlike conduct IMO. That they allow this thuggish behavior may explain how things have gotten out of hand.

To give Trump what he wants? Something tells me that they spend a lot more time thinking about him than he does about them.
