Was Vegas an FBI sting gone bad?
Renew America ^ | October 7, 2017 | Cliff Kincaid

Why is there no motive for the Vegas massacre? Why did Stephen Paddock have a secret life?

It is terrible to contemplate, but the possibility that Stephen Paddock was an undercover federal operative or informant cannot be ruled out. He may have been set up or used by ISIS and/or a federal agency in a scheme that backfired.

The feds may have thought they were going to catch ISIS in the act of preparing a major terrorist attack. ISIS terrorists may have thought Paddock was one of them, but realized at the last minute it was a set-up. They claimed him as one of their own anyway.

FR is linked to on the front page of Renew America, I'm surprised more of their articles don't make it here.

I'm not the "conspiracy type" but with new news on the central narrative of the Las Vegas shooting, sad, for me, alternative scenarios are worth pondering.

Cliff Kincaid is a great writer, once in awhile, he can get out there but I think this still merits a read. I'm sure we will learn other things in the coming days.

Again, I think it might be worth a reading of the full article in the link.

The guy’s motive was one of four things:

1. A homegrown Jihadi.
2. A rabid leftist.
3. A guy who was nuts.
4. All of the above.

Any coverup of motives is simply the media and demonratic run FBI covering their political a**. The last thing the left wants is an unambiguous leftist terrorist who was literally trying to gun down Trump supporters.

It really isn’t very hard to understand.

I was just about to type in another thread that the whole thing has the feel of a plan gone FUBAR. It’s hard to say more than that with the info available.

Maybe so, but something here doesn't smell right.

“Informant gone bad” is usually the cover story for “agent that did what we told them to do”.

This makes a certain amount of sense...nothing much does.

One fact is certain ... the shooter is NOT right wing or the media would go 24/7

Regrettably the article seems to be all thinly cross-checked speculation.

It does not account for the amateur potshots at the jet fuel tanks, for example, and also the amount of “explosives” found in the car was relatively small and available through retail outlets. Nothing in the article explains why the guns were brought into the hotel if they were to be sold since it is a hassle lugging them around and all of that is better done at a no-tell motel with no or fewer video cameras.

It is worthwhile to consider the informant gone bad conjecture but imho it would need to fit relatively effortlessly (with cross checking) into what we already seem to know.

my bet is that he just did not appear on any governmental radar as being a problem. what ever happen to make him do what he did was a short term change in him. the last six months. I would not be surprised if they found a brain tumor interfering with his thinking but that is just speculation.

I don’t think there is a big conspiracy. I think we will find that he spent the last serval months scoping out places then settled on Madalyn bay 32 floor.

most of the people on the intelligence agency radars are those who interact with other like minded people. I think he kept his thoughts to himself.

That right there is the problem. We seem to know stuff, but we don't know anything. Except that The Powers That Be are withholding everything. I can only surmise there is a reason for that, and it ain't something good for us citizens.

Finally someone with some sense, I agree completely. There is no Grand conspiracy, he simply was suicidal, disillusioned, bored and sick of his life. Maybe he had a terminal disease and didn’t tell anyone. If one goes deep enough into depression and hides it from friends and family it’s very possible to feel numb enough to not care about anything including innocent people’s lives.

Hey maybe all you conspiracy theorist’s are right and he was a super secret antifa/isis/FBI/CIA/mob asset. The CIA/mob killed JFK so anything is possible - but I really see this guy as just done with the world and felt himself to be evil, “born bad” like he told the hooker. So he did what someone bad would do and proved it.

Until and unless I see CCTV footage of Paddock rolling baggage carts into his room, the government is hiding something. Hididing something that reflects badly on them.
