Frank Sinatra told Donald Trump to 'go f*** himself' after the business mogul complained that he was paying too much to feature the singer at the opening of his Atlantic City casino, according to a new book.
In 'The Way it Was', due to be released on October 24, Elie Weisman, who managed the Chairman of the Board from 1975 to 1998, recounted the incident, which occurred 1990.
Sinatra had planned to perform at the opening of Trump's Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, along with fellow Rat Pack member Sammy Davis Jr and vocal duet Steve and Eydie, reported the New York Daily News.

People in the show biz always think they are worth more than what they truly are worth.
I liked Frank Sinatra. Great singer, great actor. But he was a Mafioso type.

By 1990, Frank’s best singing voice was long gone. Although, his showmanship skills lasted all the way to the end. From what I understand, Sinatra was surrounded with ‘yes-men’. Some of his group had the job of filling that room up as much as possible. They wanted to shield Frank from the knowledge of his slowly declining popularity. He was not at all used to being questioned or contradicted.
This same self centered detachment may have been passed on to his son, Frank Jr.
Junior had at least four children out of wedlock. All four were left out of his will.

Frank did it his way..which coincidently was simular to what the mob wanted.

This matters in today world why ? Sinatra died in 1998 so who cares about a guy who was know for drinking and singing.

Some years back, I watched a 60 Minutes feature on him and there was footage of him having trouble remembering the words to his songs and Liza Minelli was there gently helping him out. Believe he was doing shows up to about two or three years before he passed (someone can probably correct me on this), but it would not surprise me that those last number of shows might not have been terribly good (you might have been better off staying home and listening to his records or CDs).
