The DNC: friends helping friends to be generous with other people’s money.

Imagine had he spent 90 million on funding remedial education programs instead?

What we need is a wealth tax not an income tax. That’ll fix these commie billionaires.

Pull out your checkbook Tom Steyer... the IRS will accept your check..

OR BETTER YET TOM STEYER - - FIRE YOUR ARMY OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANTS - THE ONES YOU HIRE TO MAKE SURE YOU PAY AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE.

They know full well they can pony up more money to the Treasury any time they want.

But they never do.

The reason is, I think, to try to fool the taxpayers into thinking the middle class is not the only group that’s going to get hosed come tax time. Try to quell the middle class anger of always getting the short end of the stick, so to speak.

Like all good liberals, it makes them ‘feel’ better, and feelin’ good is what it’s all about!

Big media plays right along, of course.

I wonder how many deductions this person takes? He should be forced to release his tax records.

Tom- please feel free to write a check to the US Treasury and/or the California Franchise Tax Board.

I’ll bet he uses every loophole, shelter and deductions he can.

He can contribute as much as he wants to the Treasury.
The rest of us want our taxes cut.

Um, Tom. Just quit deducting, you’ll pay plenty more.

Hey Tom, how much you got parked in overseas accounts?

Surely you aren’t trying to dodge the highest corporate tax in the world. No?

IMHO, setting a maximum limit the tax deduction for “contributions” (say $1000,000) WOULD increase the taxes paid by the “rich” and NOT hurt the middle class.

How could the “rich” complain?

Sounds like a good plan to me. I have no problem with a law that raises Steyer’s taxes......as long as it specifies Steyer, and only Steyer.

That would be a bill of attainder which is unconstitutional.

I believe it was calculated that you wouldn’t even raise $1 trillion if taxed all the rich all their money.

This nation is now over $20 trillion in debt. That means the rich could only contribute 5% of the debt. That’s it.

What good would that do? It would ruin investments and destroy the economy.

Dear Tom and all “rich folks” who want to pay more taxes: When you file your taxes, check “standard deduction instead of itemized. That will insure you are paying a LOT more than you are right now.

Actually, if he made a donation, he would expect something in return. A lot more.

He can pay as much taxes as he wants. Obviously, what he is really saying is raise everyone else’s taxes.

What we need then is a wealth tax. No one needs more than ten million in net worth. So he should owe about nine hundred and ninety million in wealth tax. That should leave him with ten million which is more than enough.
