I watched Quantico a few times, if they didn’t have all of these gay overtones and probably other pc stuff, it might have been watchable. Never again.

Piss poor journalism:
The Ray first appeared in a 1973 issue of Justice League of America.
Incorrect. The Ray, along with a number of others (Uncle Sam, Phantom Lady, The Human Bomb, Black Condor) were first published in the 40s. The companies (I believe Quality Comics - I’ll have to confirm) assets were acquired by DC comics about the same time they acquired Fawcett’s (known for Capt. Marvel/Shazam)in the early 1970s. The 1973 appearance was the first DC appearance.
He wasn’t gay until the last 10 years or so...like a lot of others including Alan Scott the original Green Lantern.
This co-opting and rewriting has made me stop buying new stuff. I only purchase older comics now (~1990 and prior) to fill gaps in the collection.

Just watch .. all the words co-opted to describe homosexuals over the years have become tainted and unpopular in practical use. Such will be the rise and fall of the popularity of superheros. Once comics have been co-opted to support homosexuality, they will no longer be read, with the exception of a homosexual fan base. I quit watching Arrow and Once Upon a Time. They are no longer "fun". I doubt I am alone in that. I will never pay to see a homosexual spiderman movie. It's just not going to happen.
