I was raised a Jehovah's Witness. I left them when I was 18. We were taught not to salute the flag. But we were also taught to stand as a show of respect.
So last night Oakland's Bruce Maxwell took a knee during the National Anthem. What you see is a guy on his knee but with his hand on his heart as though he really didn't think this through very well. I see an idiot. I see a leftie who doesn't know what he's doing. A child who is mimicking the BLM movement in his rookie season as an unspectacular platoon catcher.
America does not need this kind of stupidity in the game of baseball. It doesn't need it anywhere else either but since I'm not a football or basketball fan this particular act irks me more than others.
I am totally certain that Rob Manfred and staff at the commissioners office knew this would happen sooner or later. If they act like it's a surprise and they didn't see it coming they're either naive, and should all resign, or liars. But to my point, you can't MAKE a player be a decent American. You can't make them be patriotic. But the commissioner can order all players to stand and face the flag respectfully. They don't have to sing the national anthem. They don't need to put their hand on their heart. But they have to stand as a show of respect, just as I did when I was a child in a religion I left long ago.
Manfred can really shine here. Or he can be the buttboy for the left. He knows who the fans are. We, his countrymen, should be his first priority.
This fool is as stupid as stupid can get.
Back to the minors he goes.
If this crap spreads through baseball it’s goodbye to them as well.
I pray the baseball fans boo this clown off the field every time he comes up to bat.
The NFL is done. I prefer lacrosse to football now and I’ve never ever watched a Lacrosse game. I don’t even know what Lacrosse is. At this point I’d rather watch lawn bowling than football.
I still enjoy baseball, but clowns like this are going to ruin it.

What I forsee happening is, the wussy owners and NFL (with the other sports to follow) will just eliminate the national anthem altogether. Problem solved, they’ll say. If they do, I hope the retribution will be three times as great.
They would rather punish and disrespect the rest of us in order to kowtow to the tiny minority. Just like the queers and all the rest have done. And we’ve let them get by with it.

The problem that players don’t seem to realize is we can live quite happily WITHOUT THEM.
The NA is going away count on it. The owners won’t even acknowledge Trump has a point. Instead they are completely siding with the players, calling Trump divisive. As if kneeling, turning your back to the flag and offending millions of people is not. F the NFL.
And this fool seems to have forgotten, that unlike the other professional leagues, Baseball has minor leagues.
Sad to think of, but Janine Stange will still have plenty of opportunities to sing our National Anthem:

You respect the national anthem and the flag because it’s a representation of those that died for our freedom’s and the right to make gobs and gobs of money because of their sacrifice! Since they cannot be physically here to represent themselves and show the sacrifice they and their family chose for love of country and its people... the national anthem and the flag represents every military man and woman who died for us to have freedoms that other countries envy! These freedoms are rapidly eroding by the cancer of the liberalism! IT MUST BE STOPPED BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!! We are in the last stages before the dam breaks!! GOD HELP US!!

The sh*t is getting out of hand. If I see any of it,I am through. The networks have been very keen in not showing it live and in highlights. The MLB playoffs should be interesting.
