Current and former NFL players campaigning for racial equality and criminal justice reform wrote a lengthy memo to league commissioner Roger Goodell officially seeking overt league support in their effort, including an endorsement for an activism awareness month, Yahoo Sports has learned.
The 10-page memo, obtained by Yahoo Sports, was sent to Goodell and executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent in August, requesting wide-ranging involvement in their movement from the NFL. The memo seeks an investment of time and education, political involvement, finances and other commitments from the league. It also sought to have the NFL endorse the month of November as an activism awareness month, similar to the periods of league calendar dedicated to breast cancer awareness and military recognition.

Equality: More whites on teams!
Another “ list of demands”
How about if the cost of “ activism month” is deducted from their paychecks
These people have learned the shake-down scheme well from Jesse and Al. I’m just surprised they didn’t demand reparations while they were at it, or does that come latter.
Man, these guys are KILLING the NFL (not for long).
Unbelievable.
To the left, everything is political. Everything.
If they want “equality” they should give their millions of dollars to poor blacks.
White fans pay most of the NFL’s income.
Promoting thugism is certain to tick off the white fan base (even more) to the point where we just won’t watch any more.
Face it, many of us are there already and many more are right on the edge.
If the NFL agrees to this then they will cease to exist by 2020.
There is no doubt that football does irreversible brain damage to NFL players.
There is now evidence starting to come out that brain changes begin in young kids who play football.
There might be a good reason for baseball to remain America’s favorite pasttime.
#BoycottNFL
Maybe the whole NFL can wear brown shoes in solidarity with the kaepernicking scumbags.
If I were the union...I’d go to the players and suggest that they might all want to review their home budgets and look at the fan reaction to affect pay offerings in 2018. If you had a $350,000 paycheck for 2017....with weak fan attendance and a loss of 10-percent of the viewers...you might want to prepare for a 90-percent pay offer for next season.
It’s like an opera....once you realize that the fat lady really can’t sang that well, and she hypes up people over some social agenda during the performance....why would I pay $75 a seat for the opera?
There’s some harsh times coming for the NFL. I think a fair number of NCAA players will be offered contracts, and some NFL players will be shown the door in 2018. A weaker game, but it’s what the players lost sight of.
More Asian Americans, Indian Americans, American Indians, Mexican Americans, etc., etc. It better look like the freakin’ UN out there by October...or else. :o)
Should 50% of each team be black for that month?
Or do they want the quotas to match the general population (10-15%)?
The first would be “equal”. But the second sounds “more fair”.
I think this would be a great way to set an example of how they want the rest of the country to work. Assuming the quotas are reflected in on-field play, not hidden with bench warmers.
51% women on teams
I’VE STOPPED WATCHING.
WILL NOT EVER WATCH AGAIN.
WHEB RUSH TALKS NFL I TURN HIS SHOW OFF.
Hey Roger ,,Fans can protest too .
That’s what I’m thinkin’.
Until affirmative action (legal discrimination against white men) is outlawed, I couldn’t care less about ANY of these “causes du jour”. They aren’t even on the radar, and play no role whatsoever in my life.
We need more white, Hispanic and Asian players in the MFL. The blacks have a monopoly on it. That has got to stop!
Racial equality does not mean disrespecting our flag and our history.
Boycott the NFL!!!!
