“Carlos Slim bought the NYT and Bezos bought the Washington Post to use for political propaganda. One of those liberal pos or someone like Soros will buy it.”

except RS has never had a political or general audience like WaPo or Post. the RS brand has always been countercultural/music, and it’s highly improbable RS could be turned into an effective political propaganda brand.

That’s inaccurate

Rolling Stone which I’ve read since I was 12 in 1969 has ALWAYS had a left leaning or radical or libertinian editorial stance

And every issue had political articles

William H Greider

Matt Taibbi

And others ....

Best writers were Esterhaus and ORourke and Vetter and HST and even John Milius

Rolling Stone went homosexual like Wenner and black and not counter culture like I once was but rather doctrinaire left wing 1930s style Brooklyn college progressive crap

It lost an establishment to rail against and became that which it once pushed back against

I understand how that all went but unlike my fellow left leaners of that era I changed at aged 23-25 for good

Sure they could make it more political.
