Malia Obama just arrived at Harvard, but she's having trouble blending in, especially Saturday when she felt harassed by a woman hell-bent on getting a photo.
Eyewitnesses tell TMZ, Malia was in Harvard Square with a friend. As she approached a salad shop, a woman ran up to her and said she wanted a photo for her grandchild. We're told Malia politely declined.
The grandma was undeterred and staked out the salad joint, waiting for Malia to leave. When she did, we're told the grandma trained her camera on the former First Daughter and Malia fired back, "Are you gonna take it in my face like an animal in a cage?"
An eyewitness said the grandma ended up getting the photo.

That’s an insult to animals.
Changer her name to Malia Merrick. Problem solved.
How did TMZ get this story ?
I feel sorry for his kids, but obama wouldn’t care if it were someone else’s kid.
Malia: Are you gonna take it in my face
Malia’s daddy: Get in their faces
Her daddy needs to make it clear to his voters that what he said doesn’t apply to his kids.
Nicely done!
Thank you, thank you very much. I’ll be here all week, please try the veal.
It would have been nice for Malia to grant that request from one of her father’s deluded fans, but it is Malia’s choice. No means no. The older woman should have moved on rather than waiting for another shot.
She’s a sour-faced over-privileged kid. She did the same thing during her no-show job in NYC. The apple doesn’t fall from mama’s tree.
Does she have Secret Service protection? Not sure if it stops for kids when POTUS ends. No sympathy here. Her parents were media whores, so she will have to deal with it.
noblesse oblige
“I guarantee you 100%, that woman voted for her father.”
Right, and those guys ARE animals ...It’s all done for a buck, Ms. Malia-that lady will sell her photo some day ... don’t kid yourself. :)
I don’t care what you think of the mom and dad, leave the kids alone. Well, unless their name is Chelsea.
IIRC, public area removes certain pr%ivacy expectations.
Note: Her guards knew better than to intervene.
YMMV.
Even over-privileged kids are entitled to privacy, not that Barack Obama’s minions ever show consideration for others.
TWICE.
[[Even over-privileged kids are entitled to privacy,]]
[[No means no.]]
Not when it comes to being in public- there is no ‘reasonable expectation of privacy’ when someone is in public when it comes to photography- photographers have the right to photograph anyone they choose when they are in public- famous or not- street photographers have had many cases in court and the courts have always upheld that ‘right’ (With certain restrictions like ‘model release’ IF the photo will be used for advertising profits)
As much as it might suck- a photographer can follow you or i or anyone hey like around taking photos of us all day long if they like- and given the fact that malia is infact more ‘famous’ than most- she needs to accept this just like we all have to accept it
She can not take the woman to court and win- the courts will be on the woman’s side- Malia is an adult now- correct? but even if she isn’t- the law is still on the side of the photographers- which is a good thing as photographers have the power to keep people or groups etc honest (think about corrupt cops abusing a victim- or antifa assaulting others- photographers are allowed to gather proof)
Agreed! These Neanderthals pay no consequences.
Pushy pedestrians own people, behaving as if they are privileged to inject themselves into private moments and experiences of famous kids who do not deserve it and are not overtly political celebrities.
Gramma should have had her camera film confiscated on the spot by the SS! Instead, she was allowed to be obnoxious and got away with a privacy breach by social invasion.
Where was Malia's secret service protectors?
Perhaps they were there and determined they could not arrest a person on a public street taking photos with a camera.
But I understand how the first child feels. One of Obama’s agencies (IRS) kept sending me harassing letters until I sent to the federal government money I had made.
Not disagreeing with you re: humility, but we all must be humble, even to those we do not like...
