The Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday called out Black Lives Matter activist Shaun King for an inaccurate tweet that went viral.
King got more than 8,000 retweets for claiming that Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said he would never hire former 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick for kneeling during the national anthem.
The owner of the Eagles said he wouldn't hire Colin because of his anthem protest, but hired a white player who called black people "nigger"

Sportswriters on the Eagles beat immediately pointed out that King was mischaracterizing Lurie's comments, but their complaints fell on deaf ears.

Shaun King is a flagrant racist liar, that’s not news. I WISH NFL owners would just go on record and all say no one disrespecting the flag and anthem will play for their team, but that is not what Lurie said about it.
“.... no one disrespecting the flag and anthem will play for their team....” You funny. That might create a bigger boycott than the current one and nobody.......oh, wait. Seems like nobody cares already. ;-)
Welcome to the NFL/ESPN soap opera. A great way to waste your time.
Fake Black Man Tweets Fake News
Until we know that, the claims of racial discrimination are just self-serving political hot air.
Kaepernick had a 90.7 QB Rating in 12 games last year, which is good, very solid.
On the other hand, his pass completion percentage was 59.2%, and his record was 1-10 for eleven starts, which is terrible.
Was San Francisco that bad? Were the offensive line, the running backs, and the receivers that bad? Or, was Kaepernick also really bad?
Plus, Kaepernick made the decision to renegotiate his contract to become a free agent in 2017. He was not released by San Francisco.
If I was a Head Coach or General Manager, and my QB situation was desperate, I would pay $8-$9 million guaranteed for one year to see if Kaepernick still had the passion and the skills to play.
But, if Kaepernick is asking for more than that, I think very few teams will even give him a look.
At this point the only way I will even think about watching another NFL game is if the team owners NFL mgmt grow a pair, step up to the plate and tell these overpaid jocks to cut the crap, and even then when Rodger Godell is removed as commissioner. This is not Pete Rozelle’s NFL. At least the dustups that occurred up between him and Broadway Joe Namath were entertaining.
If he ended up on the wrong street in Detroit he would NOT be black, in other words, he would get beat up like every other white person.
King is attacking the owner, so how is the story about Kap?
I hope Lurie did say that, and I hope he means it.
Gone is the brown paper bag test.
Now it is the Detroit street walking test.
