Out-of-state organizers of a rally to show support for Confederate monuments slated for Saturday say they dont know how many people to expect.
Tara Brandau, a Florida resident who identifies with militia groups, told reporters at a press conference on the sidewalk along Bank Street in front of the Virginia Capitol on Friday that responses to a Facebook event page is their only gauge.

SPLC funded?
I am a Yankee who has lived in Virginia most of my adult life and am horrified by the idea of stripping Monument Avenue of its monuments.
I have supported battlefield preservation for many years and the thought of destroying history pains me for what it says about my fellow citizens(?).
That said, I smell another Charlottesville play being produced by Soros and directed by McAwful.
I won’t be in the city on Saturday.
Yep.
“...a Florida resident who identifies with militia groups,...”
Oooooohhhhh..... EEEEEVil militia groups!!!!
Groups made up of loyal American patriots who want to make sure our Country STAYS our Country...
What a concept, huh?
The hurricanes drowned out Charlottesville, so George Soros is planning for another event to pick up the slack.
I would stay away if the organizer is from out of state. It is a media / Soros trap to attract uneducated people.
If someone wants to make a point show up in your Sunday’s best with the American or State flag. The media uses the present of the Rebel flag to label to present the protesters as hate groups (kkk etc).
“The event is being promoted on Facebook, as the Protect the General Robert E. Lee Monument Rally.
But you’re going to call it “a Confederate rally” over and over again, aren’t you, slime?
No big deal, if the police do their jobs nothing bad will happen. I remember the KKK marching in towns with large populations of colored people. Nothing happened but that they looked foolish, until antifa and the racist BLM came into being to start riots.
Most of you know that the Dallas Mayor was upset by the Robert E. Lee Statue that had been displayed in a park for decades. So he had it removed to another location for ‘items’ deemed to be unpleasant to think about.. It made him feel better, plus a few others.
If he really wants most people to feel better, including himself, then there is an unpleasant event, which is really close to Dallas and Texas which should end up in this location.
And that is the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Any reference to this event should be removed immediately. This would please so many Dallasites and Texans that they might even make a statue of the Mayor to take the place of the former Robert E. Lee Statue.
So do not remember the Alamo, remember the Mayor.
SPLC, Soros, USCP, Antifa, BLM and the democrat party are trying their best to raise the KKK from the dead. They are funding both sides of this imagined fight. Otherwise, they’re out of the news and out of business.
The 400 grand Dallas spent to remove the statue would of filled a lot of potholes.
And as I drove into town for work today it was pretty obvious that not a darn thing had changed one way or the other.
And in New Orleans the city was so obsessed with removing the confederate monuments that they let the water pumps fail and flood parts of the city.
The Richmond Times is calling it a Confederate rally in it’s headline.
And they are Confederate memorials.
Perhaps you and C19 have some previous history but I’m too lazy to do a search and it’s dinner time and I’m cooking tonight.
“Perhaps you and C19 have some previous history but Im too lazy to do a search and its dinner time and Im cooking tonight.”
I wasn’t talking to C19, but to the media scum.
I agree . Another staged event to make those who support the monuments look bad. The law in Virginia says they can’t be removed. The Lee monument and the ground it’s on is actually owned by the state and Richmond can t do anything about that. If they actually wanted to.
