No deal YET.

Trump desires an amnesty deal.

Does anybody really want to throw out good, educated and accomplished young people who have jobs, some serving in the military? Really!.....

“Congress now has 6 months to legalize DACA (something the Obama Administration was unable to do). If they can’t, I will revisit this issue!”

The devil is in the details. Congress has failed repeatedly to pass the Dream Act. It was included in the 2006 Hagel-Martinez, 2007 Kennedy-McCain, and 2013 Gang of 8 amnesty bills.

Assuming that Trump wants legalization of all of the "Dreamers," a big assumption, what will the Dems accept? Will they want a path to citizenship, something Trump is unwilling to do?

Will they accept revisiting the screening of all DACA recipients to ensure that they meet the requirements still to be worked out? Obama approved 99.4% of all applicants for DACA. We know that there was widespread fraud and just cursory checks. We also know that many of these "children" were unaccompanied and were not brought to the US by their parents. What kind of documents do they have that can verify their identities, age, etc.? Will those who have committed crimes be ordered deported? What crimes will be considered?

The Dems will be put in hard spot as well because they will have to compromise on the rules that specify who is eligible or not and whether they will accept anything less than a path to citizenship. And what other concessions are they willing to make in terms of things like mandatory e-verify, sanctuary cities, and other interior enforcement provisions. Or the Raise Act?

The Dems and the open border RINOs have always held enforcement hostage to amnesty. The tables have been reversed. If they want DACA recipients legalized (amnesty), then they will have to make concessions on enforcement. Trump is already doing a far better job on enforcement of our existing immigration laws than Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, and Obama combined. How far will the Dems and the RINOs go to protect DACA recipients rather than defend US workers and the safety of our citizens? DACA recipients average age is 24. They are taking jobs from Americans.

IMO Congress will have a hard time coming up with a consensus on a bill in 6 months. Trump can then announce his own approach, which we know will not be an unconstitutional Executive Order. The ball is in Congress's court.

Throwing it to the Democrats, putting the onus on them. Are they going to let the wall keep them from normalizing all those new Democrat voters?

I will revisit this issue!”

That does not mean that he will let the dream kiddies stay.
