I wonder how many FR posters are merely hopelessly deluded and fooled by the efforts of the mainstream media who are out to destroy Trump, and how many are actually paid provocateurs of the Deep State.

No only those who over-react to MSM BS. We have way too many people falling into the MSM-Deep State trap.

I will not believe a damn thing about the Wall will be built until I see a completed section of new Wall on the Mexican border where no wall exits now. Fixing old sections of existing wall does not work for me.

Mr. President, Stay the course, making God your Compass. To compromise God's principles is to deny His majesty and authority.

What part of the "Lord being in charge of everything" even their next breath does Congress not understand?

“That is a continuation of DACA.”

You call it a continuation.

I call it a reasonable winding down period.

https://www.nilc.org/issues/daca/daca-termination-faq/

“I don’t have DACA. If I am eligible, can I still apply?

No new DACA applications will be accepted. USCIS no longer will accept first-time applications after September 5, 2017.”

“My DACA is expiring soon. Can I renew it?

If you have DACA and your DACA expires between now and March 5, 2018, you can submit your application for a two-year renewal by October 5, 2017. After October 5, 2017, USCIS will no longer accept any renewal applications.

If your DACA expires March 6, 2018, or later, you will not be able to apply to renew it.”

This is fun. Are you having fun?

He was very Clintonesq, what the meaning of “is” is.

Trump said, “we’re looking at allowing people to stay here”. That IS amnesty, no matter how hard it’s spun.

Fund me any other politician brave enough to say this:

I will let this play out. I don't think we've heard the last of this and I will place my money on Trump.

“I call it a reasonable winding down period.”????

Allowing illegality to continue requires a “winding down period”??

Incredible.

We need to slow down and keep our cool. Take more of a wait and see approach. The DS-MSM is using the same tactics they did during the campaign. It is better to contact the WH and your congressional leaders with your concerns than flame on forums. Let them feel the heat.

Courts have alreadly rule DACA illegal. There was no reason for Trump to continue it beyond January 20. There is no reason for Trump to continue it through March of next year.

DACA is dead as a program. No new applicants are being accepted. It is being phased out over a six month period. You can argue whether it should have been done abruptly or with some consideration for the recipients who were allowed to stay by the US government (Obama) who gave them SSNs and work permits. But make no mistake, DACA has been rescinded.

Read the official announcement

He said it would be rescinded. He said illegals “have to go”.

They are going thru increased enforcement of our immigration laws. It is also important to recognize that over 60% of all green cards issued annually are the result of change of status of people already here. Some of the DACA recipients are changing status. Some details:

Recent USCIS data revealed:

45,447 DACA recipients have been approved for advance parole

59,778 DACA recipients have applied for Lawful Permanent Resident, known as a “Green Card”

39,514 DACA recipients have been approved for a Green Card

Of the DACA recipients with Green Cards, 2,181 have applied for U.S. citizenship

Of the DACA recipients with Green Cards, 1,056 have become U.S. citizens

As far as I know, Trump has not committed to giving amnesty to the 11 to 30 million illegal aliens living here. DACA recipients are not illegal under federal law. They are provided with USG ID cards.

Trump has not taken any actions that show him "reneging on his central campaign issue." He has rescinded the DACA program and signed other executive orders strengthening immigration enforcement. Before we crucify Trump on DACA, let's look at what he has done on immigration since assuming office. He is the best President on the issue since Eisenhower. Reagan made the terrible mistake of a blanket amnesty in 1986. When you reward something, you get more of it.

ROLFLMAO!!! Nice spin. I give you an “e” for effort & pat on the back for trying.

Btw, did you know President Trump rescinded DACA on September 5, 2017? AG Sessions made a public announcement saying so. Maybe if you google it you can find it on youtube.

Why lookie here. A link to that very announcement. Enjoy :)

>>in a word, yes...

Thanks, Irish. I come here for information and reassurance. There are so many other sites that end up distrusting POTUS. I don’t. I believe that he is dealing and we don’t see the machinations. We patiently wait for the result. And a deal means give and take. I trust his skill to take more than he gives. No deal involves getting everything your way. But he is the guy who won’t give the store away just to watch the other side smile at him. He knows what he wants and he’ll get as much of it for us as he can.

GOP is just about as corrupt as the DEM’s

Oh I think they are worse. They deliver nothing for the taxpayer. The Dems at least fulfill some of their socialist promises.

"...did not cave..."

Well he has caved before (healthcare, debt, Iran, Syria, etc). But that's not the point. The uproar is not because he caved, past tense, on DACA fiction. It is because he is caving before our eyes, in terms of his rhetoric. He is infected with progressive-ism and we hope to show him the error of his drifting ways.

I don't blame folks for having a heart, I just wish some on our side would see the Wizard about the straw in their heads. Momentum in the direction of constitutional decay is always driven by the heart.

The number of seemingly always sleeping dreamers is NOT the issue. And it matters not whether we consider them lawbreaker juniors or we consider them child abuse victims of lawbreaking parents.

Irrational 'progress' is the fruit of the heart and the life blood of progressives. And is the enemy of Reason. The blindfold Lady Justice wears is not just the latest in eclipse-wear. It separates objective law and reason from subjective prejudice of the heart.

Whether dragged here under the wire by parents who are duds or washed here by hurricanes and the torrent of ensuing floods, the fact is that the increasingly aged DACA demographic's continued presence is in violation of the law.

ANY progress of status in the direction of citizenship or legal standing is unquestionably a reward for lawbreaking. Again, regardless WHO you think broke the law. And it is settled social science that such reward motivates more of the behavior.

Anyone who really cares about the bulk of the Mexican population would quit trying to rob them of the dreamer generation which maybe would rise up and fix their own problems and help their own population.

And, yes, I am willing to help financially. I just prefer it be in the form of arming and training the X-treme Dream Team for their triumphant return to the home scene. Dreamers vastly outnumber cartel members, they just need to wake up and sight in. If nothing else, they would leave here qualified for jobs securing Mexico's southern border.

Trump can call it the Piece Corp. Ask not what your neighboring country can do for you, ask what you can do for your own dang excuse for a country!

That specifically might sound a bit unrealistic to some. But any serious long-term vision to help the already victimized dreamers and to vastly scale up the apparent dream factory that is Mexico, is to train these people for going home and making a real difference in their world. Not in establishing foreign comforts zones for some new species of quasi-citizens as reward for abandoning their extended national family.

Call me a romantic, but I think the ship of Mexico is savable. If we stop encouraging everyone capable of it to jump.

Anyway, is it just me or is the size of a politician's heart always measured by the depth of my wallet?

Trump tweeted that. I guess I’ll accept his proclamation over yours. In any event, if what you say happens to be true it should be easily provable.

“How about no renewals?”

Being able to apply for one is no assurance it will be granted. Myself, I would prefer DACA to have ended the day after President Trump was sworn into office but being an adult I realize we can’t always get what we want when we want it. I’m content with how President Trump is handling this issue.

As it stands, DACA is rescinded. Therefore President Trump did NOT break his promise to his supporters as you asserted.

Watching you & others trying to make hay out of milkshakes is just icing on the cake. :)
