A row of FReepers, a few baseball bats, and run those filthy cowards through a gauntlet. I’ll show them how I feel about leaving your trusting pet sabotaged to die.

They are/were both darlings and beautiful! I had a Pom when my daughter was little and she lived to be 16. Very smart little dog.

All Bandit (Kip's brother) does now is pace. Sometimes I have to crate him to make him lay down. He's getting very senile and gets lost but sometimes I think he's still looking for Kipper. I raised Bandit his first year before he went to live with my daughter and granddaughter but they only live 500 feet away on our farm. The boys were together daily. I have thought about getting another pup for Abby to play with but I don't know. It's hard to lose one of them. Here are my boys when they were younger.

Kipper is on the left and Bandit is on the right. Granddaughter is 22 now. They are both uncles to my Abby that I have now.

And these cretins deserve to have the pulp beaten out of them, then branded "May not adopt any animals". There is simply nothing between their ears but wax.

Did your Pom have a trachea collapse too? 16 years is the usual life span of a Pom I think most pups go to 16 some longer, some unfortunately much shorter than that..I read its very common in Poms and small breed dogs..thing is NO ONE told us about trachea collapse and we never put a harness on Nemo til after he was diagnosed..will always wonder if we just put a harness on him instead of the leash put on his collar would things be different? Probably not but I always wonder, all the times I pulled him when I walked him trying to stop him from chasing a big dog..we didnt know anything about dogs back then, had no clue no one told us
Both your pups are absolutely PRECIOUS. I just love dogs, never was a dog before til Nemo came into our lives, than in 2008 we got Maxie from our neighbor down the street they could no longer take care of him so they went door to door asking if we wanted a pup of course we said YES..otherwise he would have ended up in a shelter and been killed. How old is Bandit now? I think he is probably looking for Kipper too, dogs are smart they know what is going on
Let me ask you, does it ever get easier? I cry for Nemo every single day just can’t imagine life without him..never thought of it, always thought unrealistically that he would always be here..thought I could find a cure for his disease I called everywhere, Kentucky, Tennessee, San Jose, called different vets who specialize in Cardiology and they all said the same thing “We cant diagnose your dog without seeing him” and “The only treatment is Viagra.” They say that time heals all wounds but I dont know if this one will ever truly heal I miss him everyday

No, my Pom never had trachea collapse but it’s common in a lot of small dogs. I think Kipper had a touch of it but it never caused him problems. Dogs that are pullers like a JRT often have it. We didn’t know anything about that or using harnesses either when we got the boys. Bandit isn’t a puller but Kip was. The only time Kip’s bothered him that much was when he was running hard and breathing hard. It would cause bad choking and hacking. Once he caught his breath he was fine. Bandit turned 14 in August so they were together for 13 years. Bandit was born to the same parents one litter later than Kip. Pet medicine has come so far since we had our first pups.

Abby always wears a harness when outside her fence. Inside her fence she doesn’t pull if she’s on the leash so it’s simpler for me to use the collar. Most times she can just be off-leash in the yard but after dark or in the rain I use the leash.

It hasn’t become easier for me but it has mellowed. At first I couldn’t look at his pictures and now I can. The pain isn’t as sharp but there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about him. Abby will do something like he used to do and it takes my breath away. There were a few nights that I was dreaming about him and when I woke up and he wasn’t there the disappointment was painful. I expect it will take a while and even though I didn’t think I could do it, getting Abby helped. I was fighting getting another pup but my granddaughter told me one day that each pup I get means he/she won’t end up in a bad home, even if it’s just the one pup. She said if I get the pup it will have a good life that it might not have had otherwise.
