“Shoot Selfies, Not Animals” is a phrase so moronic only PETA could have conjured it up. It’s the name of their latest anti-hunting campaign, which has been making the rounds online. The activist group launched the photo frame a few days ago. It’s now the number one filter currently on Facebook. It didn’t take long for the filter to go viral, but not for the reasons PETA hoped. Hunters quickly jumped onboard and hijacked the campaign in a hilarious trolling. Naturally, PETA responded rather butt-hurtedly. Courtesy of their blog:
It’s not every day that thousands of hunters throw their support behind PETA, but that’s exactly what happened when we launched our “Shoot Selfies, Not Animals” Facebook frame earlier this week.
In an attempt at humor, thousands of hunters began using PETA’s frame on photos of themselves with the corpses of animals they’d killed.
The number of young children posing in the trolls’ photos is cause for concern: Nearly every serial killer and school shooter killed animals before moving on to humans.
I also hear every serial killer drank water before picking up their weapon of choice and dropping bodies. Many kids are drinking water at this very second. The horror.
False equivalences aside, the hashtag itself has yet to show me any children posing with animal carcasses. But there were plenty of babes.
There are few things more enjoyable than PETA getting their panties in a twist over a triggersome legion of hawt huntresses. Well, besides bacon. That is the most enjoyable thing of all the things. My deepest condolences to all the animal activists whose tastebuds shall never be blessed by its crisp deliciousness. May their happiness rest in peace.
Menfolk didn’t pass up the opportunity to snag the nifty frame either. And so the trolling continued.
These were just a few of the offensively meaty photos posted in the name of PETA. After all the crap these animal rights activists have subjected us to (see PETA Tries Pushing Video of Cat Being Abused. Yeah, It’s Fake… and BERKELEY: Crazed Protesters Force Butcher Shop to Post Sign Against Animal Slaughter), one can’t help but be pleased at the amount of people pushing back.
Look, if PETA wants to prance about in pig’s blood and refrain from partaking in the meat industry, they should feel free to do so. Have fun. But shaming and vilifying those who choose to hunt for sport or food purposes isn’t going to get them the support they so desperately crave. Clearly. The people have spoken and they chose to say “Screw off, PETA.”
Can’t say I blame them.

Think of all the ticks and fleas a PETA member slaughters every time they shower or bathe. Which is why they just don’t do it.
The guys in those photos are really good looking. They can shoot species with their kill any time.

Just think of all the people who work for pet food industry who PETA gives money to, in order to feed their horribly and cruelly mutilated (read castrated) little pets, meaty treats. Think of how many cats..birds...possums..rats...you get it....have been killed by their doggies...and by the way PETA...if a dog is a pig ...is a chicken...is a child...why dont you castrate yourselves same time you castrate your animals? Fair’s fair, y’now.
Not the angry angry faces that PETA usually puts forth.

I and a majority of my friends had been hunting by the age of 10. To this day I don’t know of any of them who used animals as a gateway to killing people.
Quite the contrary, learning a healthy respect and proper handling of guns at a young age is a beneficial part of growing in maturity.
PETA cannot or simply will not understand that conservation is a must. It is the way we co-exist with wild-life now, particularly that which is edible.
I bet the poor folks who benefit from Share the Harvest hate PETA with a passion.
We used to live near PETA headquarters, where the unofficial slogan was “People Embarassing the Tidewater Area”.
Halal is a method of slaughtering animals that consists of using a well-sharpened knife to make a swift, deep incision that cuts the front of the throat, the carotid artery, trachea, and jugular veins. The head of an animal that is slaughtered using halal methods is aligned with the qiblah. In addition to the direction, permitted animals should be slaughtered upon utterance of the Islamic prayer ‘Bismillah’ “in the name of God”.
The slaughter must be performed by a Muslim. Blood must be drained from the veins. Carrion (carcasses of dead animals, such as animals who died in the wild) cannot be eaten. Additionally, an animal that has been strangled, beaten (to death), killed by a fall, gored (to death), savaged by a beast of prey (unless finished off by a human), or sacrificed on a stone altar cannot be eaten.
PETA is just a bunch of hypocrites if the do not condemn this
