need help a guy on FB says the statue supports had their permit pulled. anyone know the facts on this?
What I read was they pulled the permit 15 minutes before the scheduled time but a judge reversed it. Of course, it was too late, then the police funneled the permit holders into their attackers.
Correct me if I am wrong.
It was pulled without reason several days before.
The ACLU of all people sued and got the permit reinstated.
Permit was reinstated at the time of the march.
Due to violence between non-permitted Antifa and permitted “UTR”, the permitted march was broken up soon after it started.
The locals tried to pull the permit, but a federal court overturned them. The marchers had a federal court order authorizing them to march.

I have not seen that anywhere. Sounds like he is making it up. Let him prove it.
Judge Grants Injunction, Jason Kessler Can Have Unite the Right Rally at Emancipation Park - NBC 29
Statue supporters had their permit pulled but then reinstated by a federal judge, allowing them to protest at Lee's statue. When the protesters arrived, cops permitted ANTIFA--contrary to agreements--to swarm the statue and attack the protesters. Once this occurred, cops refused to intervene. Because the governor called a "state of emergency" at the last minute (he is a Clintonista), the cops used it as a pretext to declare the protest "unlawful" despite them having a permit, and they cancelled the event and began funneling ANTIFA and the protesters together into one spot---thus creating even more violence.
The Vice Mayoral of Charlottesville, without authority, pulled their permit. The ACLU and the organizers went to a Federal judge who ordered it be reinstated on violation of the 1st Amendment grounds. Then the morning of the event, the city officials in violation of the court order CANCELLED THE EVENT AGAIN, and forced the demonstrators from the vicinity of the statue right into the waiting ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter counter-protestors and then announced they were "standing down as it was too dangerous!"
None of this is being properly reported by the media.
Permit was pulled then ACLU got a judge to reinstate it Fiday night.
Police initially declared an unlawful assembly at Emancipation Park at 11:35 a.m., just before the scheduled noon start time for the rally.
That pretty much canceled the permits.
It was denied, they took the town to court, the town lost and to issue the permit. But no permit was asked for or granted for the “antifa” protestors; they just showed up.
