They think tearing down a statue will create peace?

They don't want peace. They want submission.

That's all this statue stuff is really about; bending the knee.

"Sam Houston is the father of Texas,"

Stephen F. Austin is "The Father of Texas".

Why would it end? Destruction without consequence is fun.

It seems.

Steve spent most of his time cavorting ‘in jail’ in Mexico. Read a book.

The Alamo is sacred to many native Texans. Sam Houston is an equal to George Washington. It is nearly impossible not to be moved by the letter from Colonel Travis who, with a handful of men, was holding out against an overwhelming number of the enemy at the Alamo sent to General Houston...and the world.
It epitomizes the American determination and spirit.
Don’t mess with Texas!

Commandancy of the Alamo
Bejar, Feby. 24, 1836
To the People of Texas & All Americans in the World

Fellow citizens & compatriots

I am besieged, by a thousand or more of the Mexicans under Santa Anna I have sustained a continual Bombardment & cannonade for 24 hours & have not lost a man The enemy has demanded a surrender at discretion, otherwise, the garrison are to be put to the sword, if the fort is taken I have answered the demand with a cannon shot, & our flag still waves proudly from the walls I shall never surrender or retreat. Then, I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid, with all dispatch The enemy is receiving reinforcements daily & will no doubt increase to three or four thousand in four or five days. If this call is neglected, I am determined to sustain myself as long as possible & die like a soldier who never forgets what is due to his own honor & that of his country VICTORY OR DEATH.

William Barret Travis,

Lt. Col. comdt.
P.S. The Lord is on our side. When the enemy appeared in sight we had not three bushels of corn. We have since found in deserted houses 80 or 90 bushels and got into the walls 20 or 30 head of Beeves. Travis

Interesting - but this group Anti-First-Amendment is very sophisticated and very organized. They can pull crap like this and what they did Saturday and get the media to buy their narrative.

I hope the Justice Department is checking this group out - they need an org chart for this Org.

“Texans agree the disgusting idols of America’s dark days of slavery must be removed to bring internal peace to our country.”

Somehow I doubt that. But it’s your move, punk.

Will they next destroy the historical homes of Washington & Jefferson because they were slave owners and build mosques in their place?

Uh, the LAST thing they want is peace!

There are several statues of LBJ (Lyndon Baines Johnson) in Texas, maybe elsewhere too.

They offend me. They have to be destroyed.

There are several statues of FDR.

They offend me, they must be destroyed.

There are statues of Woodrow Wilson.

They offend me, they must be destroyed.

And so on.

“. . . bring internal peace to our country.”

There will be no “internal peace” in America so long as George Soros and his minions are allowed to violate the law without having to suffer the consequences.

We are being tested, and we are failing!

Law and Order MUST BE RESTORED!

The LIEberal thugs who are precipitating these violent events MUST BE STOPPED!

I turned down a job offer in Seattle one time. The reason I gave was that I would probably be arrested for urinating on Lenin’s statue.
