Costco owes Tiffany more than $19 million for selling counterfeit rings
cnn ^ | August 14, 2017: 7:54 PM ET

In a statement, Costco said it intends to appeal the ruling. "This was not a case about counterfeiting in the common understanding of that word -- Costco was not selling imitation Tiffany & Co. rings," it said.

Tiffany first filed a complaint against Costco in U.S. District Court in New York in 2013, saying it learned from a customer that Costco was selling "Tiffany" rings. "Unbeknowst to Tiffany, Costco had apparently been selling different styles of rings for many years that it has falsely identified on in-store signage as 'Tiffany,'" the complaint said.

"There are now hundreds if not thousands of people who mistakenly believe they purchased and own a Tiffany engagement ring from Costco," the complaint added.

Ha ha for leftist costco. Trying to pull a fast one on consumers. Now lets hope a CLASS-ACTION attorney gets a hold of the case and file on behalf of the people who booth the fraudulent fake Tiffany junk sets.

Since I had already inherited my Grandmother’s Engagement Ring I now wear that as my Engagement Ring. When Beau and I got engaged, he gave me LAND. :)

Ladies? That sparkly $10K ring you’re sporting can buy a good 10 acres of crop land in the Midwest, usually with potable water!

Choose wisely. ;)

Maybe they can give them some free food samples to make up for it.

Darn. If only it were Friday night. I'd tell the ladies to hold out for both, a big diamond AND land. That would send the Friday night bachelors into a frenzy. LOL

I bought a rotisserie chicken several months ago and it wasn’t cooked all the way through. Yuck. Threw it out. And the pink juice oozing from it.

Oh, that’s awful! I buy one every week to 10 days at my local grocer; haven’t had that problem, but I always roast it in the oven for a while longer no matter what, then use my meat thermometer on it just to be sure.

Those carcasses make the BEST chicken stock. Must be all the added chemicals and hormones in them, LOL! ;)

Good Iowa farm land has gone up in value.

$10K would get you 2 acres of decent land, only 1 acre of really good land.

If Costco customers actually thought they were buying a Tiffany ring.........stupid.
Costco should have called them Tiffany Style rings though.

I’m in Wisconsin. Land is still relatively cheap if you can stand to live outside of the Socialist Meccas of Madistan and Milwaukeestan. ;)

Years ago we used the term Tiffany setting for a type of diamond setting.
