All my life, {something} has been making me {something}. *sigh* I suppose that’s why I’ve been dead so long. It’s always something.
Totally agree. Most food makes me sick. Grains do bad things to me. Eggs are fine and I love sugar. Love coffee.
I’m not that much of a conspiracy type but when it comes to food being tweaked, I could buy it.
When a burger commercial comes on, I feel like I gain a couple of pounds.
Weight has always been a problem for me. I’m tall so that helps in looks a little.
Sonic, most of Bojangles, McD’s, and the rest are ones I typically avoid.
Mom and pop places tend to treat me better.
Just cut out all cereal for this reason. The fat, sugar, chemicals, and cost of the product are all excessive.
The natural health community has been saying this for DECADES, and they’ve been dismissed the whole time as kooks, crackpots, alarmists, don’t know what they are talking about, don’t have medical degrees, etc.
And it turns out that once again, they were right.
I believe without fat, you don’t get all the nutrients in vegetables.
We eat 2 meals a day, my breakfast is vastly different than hubby’s as I have Diverticulosis and Gastropresis...slow motility, Fiber foods equate to LOTS OF AB PAIN, PUKING AND BLOCKED BOWELS as I can’t digest fiber well. Half a cheese sandwich with black coffee is my normal breakfast. I miss my fruits and Veggies. Bananas are the only 1 can mash to a pulp, but that runs my Blood Sugar up to high.
His is a total carb fest, despite having eggs available and left over meat.
Supper is light.
I can live without fries now, and I can even live without ketchup, but tomatoes? That is going to far. :(
Totally agree.
I've lost 38 lbs since 1/1 by averaging 1650 calories a day.
I did not monitor my caloric intake for years so I cannot say what I was averaging prior to going on my current regimen, but I would guess around 3500+.
I’ve been using Avocado oil to cook with for quite awhile now. It doesn’t have a taste like coconut oil does and can stand high heat unlike olive oil.
Try it.
Gundry is a hack who promotes health via his own line of perpetually-taken supplements and begin a paywall for his exclusive clinics (see his never-ending videos for reference). That stated, what you wrote is spot-on and more informative than the article itself, yet most wont care.
The takeaway from the article should be the admission that hormonal imbalance is caused by foods and that you cannot trust either advertisements or the government.
Thus, erring on the side of caution and self-education are the orders of the day, two overarching principles of my book(s)..
If you’re not being sarcastic, your words are extremely myopic.
Good advice, but still inadequate to ensure health.
Lectins in the bloodstream from a gut damaged by illness or years of abuse - as well as endocrine disrupting chemicals such as the few outlined - cause the satiety hormone leptin to fail its function. When the endocrine system breaks down the body gets misfiring signals to.store fat.
I.know. It happened to me (pound a day weight gain with no change in diet or activity). Had to figure it out on my own.
There are red flags, but it seems that I’m one of a mere few writing of this rolling health disaster from a position of self-help.
I did I and my soon to be published book outlines how others can not only do I too, but avoid health problems altogether.
Imagine not NEEDING healthcare. That’s currently me...
TRUE DAT!
I don’t do broccoli & cauliflower,so tell me what bad chemicals are in them so I can use that as a talking point.
I would only modify your statement in this way - some people should not eat grains as much as they do, and when eating grains the less processed and the less modified with chemicals the better.
When we do eat them as “processed”, as in flours of every sort, it should not be as often as it is for too many of us.
A cake is a nice treat. But a healthy meal is not pancakes for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, biscuits and gravy for dinner and slices of cake for desert. Too much “processed” grains for one 24 hour’s diet.
It’s funny...lately, more products are coming in “frustration free” packaging. Must be tough being a manufacturer or retailer. Easy packages get opened in the store and products stolen or swapped out for similar but junk products. Tough-to-open packages really anger customers. I finally bought a special pair of cutters designed solely to open “high frustration” plastic packages. That plastic is stronger than titanium!
