I think it's wonderful that they're making Facebook a safe space for everyone.

What would be curious here....why pick Essen? From a cost-prospective...500 employees...high urban area like Essen...you can figure at least 2-million Euro a month for salary, benefits and health-insurance costs. I would have picked Leipzig or Jena, and cut the salary structure by 30-percent.
Has to be some insider deal going on to make some political party folks happy. But for Facebook to keep the center operational (with rent, operational cost, salary, security)...you’d be talking about forty to fifty million Euro a year...all coming out of profits for the company.
