FB was very helpful in electing 2 conservatives to our large School district School Board this past spring. One was a 21 year old fellow. It has its uses.
Facebook has many uses (as does Twitter, which helped elect our current president).
It's just another tool, neither inherently good nor bad. It is what one makes of it.
