What drives me crazy is when announcers say “If you are so and so,” then give advice. For example, “If you are the Lebron James, you want to take that shot, not pass the ball.” JUST SAY Lebron James should have taken the shot.
Same here. What throws me off are the no huddle offenses so that I have to back up the DVR to catch the beginning of the play. Occasionally, if there's really a spectacular run, pass or defensive play, I'll watch the replay, but otherwise, I can do the game in just over an hour.
Ain't it fun. Yeah, the quick huddles do screw things up a bit. Half-times are easy to do because I watch the time on the bottom of the screen and zoom through 15 minutes, and BINGO I'm back.
I’ll never understand why the networks don’t refuse to show the sidelines during the nation anthem. That way we don’t have to watch the disgusting new millionaires show their contempt at a country that so honored them with such wealth.
I turned off the NFL last year, have not missed it.
Bite the hand that feeds you and see what you get.
The sphincter hole cost some people a lot of bucks.
Did not watch the women’s national soccer team play last night for the same reason . As long as Rapinoe is on the team, I will not watch.
I’ve said it numerous times over the past year; people just watch their NFL team and don’t watch anyone else now anymore.
The ratings for hometown teams likely have not suffered much market to market. What’s suffered is people’s willingness to watch any other NFL team.
My reasoning too. If the NFL would have supported the anthem and the millions of fans who still happen to love this country I would have watched every game I could. But they didn't so I didn't. After the first couple of weeks I didn't miss the NFL at all.
Whoever the reporter was at ESPN had to be choking back the tears and vomit as he wrote that.
The only real hero in football is Tim Tebow, and they were all-too-eager to show him the door.
I’m surprised they put the national anthem protests on the survey.
My willingness to watch my hometown team has plummeted ever since the Rooney Family decided to make it a bolt-on part of the Democrat Campaign Committee.
“..... hit it out of the park if they have a gay day,.......
The only thing they would accomplish is to hit ME and MILLIONS MORE out of their damn parks as I would never attend another of their games.
Enough is enough,
I am sick all the bullshit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I paid through the nose for the NFL Sunday Ticket for 10 or 12 years. Sunday afternoons were spent watching game after game. That ended when I cut the cable 4 years ago.
Now, I listen to the Chiefs’ games (and only the Chiefs’ games) on SiriusXM.
No more asinine TV commercials and I get things done around the house while listening to the game.
Beats sitting on my butt for 6 hours.
We resent having the networks pushing their loser shows during the games. Yes, you can DVR any game you want to watch, zip through all the ads and announcer happy talk, and finish most games in an hour. But even at that, we only were interested in about half the number of games we used to watch. They shouldn’t have started Thursday night and Monday night games. That’s over-saturation for the meager number of good teams the NFL has.
Also hearing everyday about some player being arrested isn’t helping.
Young kids are not into football, they will not replace the fans who die off.
Even college football is getting corrupted, thanks to ESPN.
Unless you’re the WWE of course.
