Like so many Muslims before him, it looks as if Mohamed Noor has opted to defend himself by blaming the victim.

That Noor’s lawyers would choose this scurrilous course of action is astounding, but not at all surprising.

IMHO the whole bodycam/dashcam is a red herring.
Per regulations body cams aren’t turned on until they exit the vehicle. They were still inside. If they had been on, they would have just been taping the dashboard.
And every police car I’ve seen, the dashcam doesn’t go on until the key is turned. Just like in my vehicles. And all they would have gotten anyway was audio.

If they had turned off the engine, the dashcam goes off. At least that’s the way it is in my friend’s cruiser.
There’s a lot hinky about this case, but I don’t think it’s the cameras.

I respectfully disagree for two reasons:
1. Similar to a doctor, an attorney’s first common sense duty to his client is “to do no further harm”. If the lawyer pisses off the jury pool for no “really good” reason, he has arguably harmed his client and arguably committed mal practice.
2. One interpretation of this lawyer’s inappropriate, ill timed suggestion could be by some........... “hold on, she was on ambien, he had a right to shoot her”.
My dash cam records for 5 minutes after the ignition is off, it also permanently records the 10 sec before and after an accelerometer event.
Of course, it's just a cheap civilian model, not an expensive police model designed to help discern the truth in interactions between armed "No Hesitation" trained police and unarmed, untrained civilians...

I would suggest that the family’s lawyer pre-empt this kind of inquiry by filing a wrongful death action and a breach of civil rights action in federal court to allow discovery of any and all information about both police officers that night and their backgrounds quickly to begin to forge public opinion against this muslim bastard and his motives and background.
