FULL TITLE: Mother-of-one dies after being forced to have FOUR abortions in a year by her husband who wants to have a son
A woman in China has reportedly died after being forced to go through four abortions in a year because her husband wanted a son.
The woman, who had one daughter, was told by her husband to terminate her pregnancies whenever the medical scan showed she was carrying a girl, according to Chinese media.
Her husband was said to have proposed a divorce earlier this year after the woman had been left bedridden by the traumatic medical operations.
According to a report on Huanqiu.com, an affiliation to People's Daily Online, the mother, named Yueyue, gave birth to a baby girl in Shengangzhen of Wuhu, Anhui Province.
However, her husband, whose name has not been revealed, wished for a boy.
So the couple started trying for another baby.
When Yueyue fell pregnant, her husband requested her to undergo an ultra-sound scan to identify the gender of the unborn baby.
And when the scan showed Yueyue was carrying a girl, Yueyue's husband forced her to have an abortion.
The process repeated four times in one year as Yueyue's husband was determined to have a son.

Actually one can increase the odds of sex selection by the timing of the “act”. Over 20 years ago after giving birth to a son, I then wanted a daughter. I bought this book and it detailed about the timing more than anything else. If you wanted a son, you would have the act on or after the date of ovulation, if you wanted a daughter, you would have the act around three days before ovulation. Why? The male sperm are fast, but short lived, the female sperm are slow, but live a long time. This knowledge increases the odds of having a boy or girl from around 50/50 to an 80% chance. And YES I was able to have my daughter!! :)
