In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

Good morning. Though the world is full of bad stuff these days, I received good news in my life this past weekend. I am going to be a grandmother again in January, Gord will be a big brother [rude awakening for my little man in store there], and my nephew proposed to his girlfriend and they will be getting married next summer. Joyous news both.

In our parish church, the priest stops directly behind me each week on the procession out...he leads us in the recitation of Hail Mary three times and the Prayer to St. Michael. We are fighting back. Despite lack of kneelers from old priest and bishop, we are taking our spiritual battles seriously. The Tabernacle was moved back into the Church proper on the main altar and daily mass is held in main church. We had 26 at a recent daily mass and of that number 19 were on their knees during the Consecration...and that is the hard floor. I can’t anymore due to knee surgery, but it was amazing.
Huh, we grow up and find out there are REAL demons on this earth, not make believe. Scary indeed.

yes, St James has amazing attendance at both 8:30 am and Noon Mass daily. If the priest doesn’t start the St Michael someone in the congregation definitely will. Fr. DeCelles, the stalwart defender of the faith at St Raymonds, says it after every Mass as well as the Hail Mary. He must be heartsick over the Pope Frank stuff.
terrifying, but as Pope Benedict has said, we know Christ wins in the end. Hard to live with the evil all around though.
