DURHAM, N.C. - A North Carolina man has been arrested after police say he kidnapped a family at gunpoint and forced them to take him shopping.
Durham police say on Tuesday 29-year-old Rollin Anthony Owens Jr. knocked on the door of a house in the West End neighborhood asking for money. A resident gave Rollins money, but police say he then used a gun to force the residents - a man, woman and two children - out of the house and into their vehicle.
Owens allegedly made the driver take him to a convenience store, then a Target where a victim managed to ask an employee for help.

The thought making a traditional family being forced to SHOP AT TARGET needs to be considered a HATE CRIME.
It’s one thing to brutally rape the little girl in front of her parents, it is ENTIRELY a different thing to force that family into a Target store. God help that criminal if I ever get my hands on him.
The only thing missing from this story is a Florida location. Most weird stuff happens in Florida.
Taking me and my family hostage is one thing, but if some thug tries to get me to shop at Target, there is going to be trouble!

“Jailed under a $1 million bond, he will remain behind bars as he waits to face several counts of second-degree kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Owens has also been charged in connection with three other robbery cases, two involving kidnapping.
According to WNCN, Owens has 23 previous convictions, including assaulting a government employee in 2015.”
Who’s the judge who in the past allowed this freak out on the streets?

I wish people would refrain from saying Raleigh Durham as if they were one city in the future. As a Raleigh resident, it is offensive to be lumped in with the crazies of Durham. Those of you not familiar with Raleigh please understand we have a number of nasty liberal politicians but we are not the Durham zoo.
