THURSTON COUNTY, WASHINGTON A female wolf that bit off part of a 3-year-old Thurston County boy’s arm in April has been relocated to an out-of-state wildlife sanctuary, along with her pups and her Alaskan malamute mate.

{snip} “She’s not aggressive in a mean way,” Miracle said. “She just liked food.” He believes that the boy was trying to feed Cheyenne a piece of pizza when he was attacked.

{snip}He said he gave Angel, Zoe and Lakota to Wolf Haven “because they really wanted them.”

But why breed wolf-dogs? Miracle said he had one as a boy, and it was a wonderful animal. When he moved from Georgia to Washington state several years ago, breeding wolf-dogs seemed like the right fit.

“When I think of the Northwest, I think of living free and John Denver,” Miracle said.

What a damned moron, the problem with wolf-dogs is that all dog breeds have much lower cortisol levels than wolfs, but back breeding to wolfs can create an animal that has the high cortisol levels of a wolf and the somewhat appearance of a dog....

Dog are domesticated for a very good reason, thousands of years of breeding helped to produce and animal that retains a good number of it’s juvenile characteristics, among st them being tame and low stress and able to tolerate humans and acting like an overgrown puppy.

A wild animal is just that, wild and dangerous.

The guy who owned that property should not be renting out to people with children that young.
The mother was the only parent there, and she should have found a place to rent that was not also a home for wolf-dogs.
A lot of people dropped the ball to allow a three year old child to get close enough to HAND FEED A WOLF some of his pizza!!! Hello, CPS. Have you got a minute or two?

It’s likely, the mother will say it’s all the fault of the facility. That will not be true.
Kind of makes you wonder what is so special about that property to make the mother want to stay there anyway, in spite of all the obvious dangers?

Looks like de-evolution was at work with both the canines and the humanoid.

Mom’s spirit-journey with the wolf’s
aura revealed the animal’s desire and love of ‘human food’. The double entendre confused mom’s understanding of the wolf’s true intentions.
BAD DOGGIE!

the thing that is more scary is some of the people that own wolf dog hybrid. had an owner show up at the dog park I go to. she was traveling with a wolf hybrid 10 month old pup the animal was beautiful and 80 percent wolf. the person had no control of the animal and no real training in handling the animal. the wolf-dog got loses outside the fenced in part of the park and could not be caught till some one got dsog treats. during that time it was hostile to anyone who approached it.

There is a reason a lot of states have ban on wolf/dog hybrids.

Wolves are smarter than dogs, better at teamwork and as vicious as a grizzly. The report says the cages were next to the ‘main entrance’ of the house - right where a 3yo would be curious about furry doggycritters in a cage. Some people are just born without an ounce of common sense.

Low rent? Drugs? Hooking up with the owner? The article says there was at least one other adult "renting a room."

Wolf/dogs can be dangerous because they retain a considerable amount of their wild instincts. Yes, they can be very lovable, too.

One day a mother wolf/dog and her pup escaped a wolf sanctuary which was about 10 miles away from where I lived. We were caring for our landlord’s turkeys, chickens and ducks until he could pick them up. The Turkeys were Royal palms, a very expensive breed. They were extremely friendly and docile, free range in our yard.

My son who was about 10 years old was out playing in the yard when mom wolf showed up to teach he child to hunt. She made the pup hide behind a hill as she scouted out the birds. I signaled to my child to hide in the hay stack.

When mom attacked the turkey, impulsively I stepped out onto the porch to yell at her to stop. It distracted her sufficiently to let go of the turkey..it got away. But she crouched to spring toward me. As I stood frozen, I heard my husband whis0er “don’t move.” The rifel barrel rested on my shoulder, the animal sprung into the air, and dropped 5 feet away from me, dead. One shot with a .22 long mag. hollowpoint.

We called the sheriff, and he notified the owner who showed up hours later. In the meantime, the pupcame along and checked out his mother. The pup was friendly. He had more dog in him than his mother, and asked in doggy way for comfort. We let him in the house.

The mother was HUGE! She was nearly 6 feet long from nose to rump, andstooda good three feet tall from paw to shoulder. She was all white. Absolutely beautiful animal.

The owner was upset when he learned she was dead and busted into the usual people don’t understand wolf-dogs yadda yadda. That is till he saw the pup snuggled up on the couch with me, and we explained the circumstances. There wasn’t much he could say after that.

I can assure you that mama didn’t spring at me for a hug and a pat. She was going for my throat. Her feet alone were nearly the size of China coffee cup saucers.

Thankfully she didn’t spot my child hidden in the hay stack.

100% true story, my own first hand account.

I believe you. It's a carnivorous predator, doing what they naturally do.

Supposedly only 5% of dog owners bother to train their dogs, even just the bare minimum of stay, come, no, sit.
