Yesterday posted a site entitled Movie Oz
ROKU users, this is an awesome site with movies that will appeal to just about anyone.
To find on ROKU:
1.Go to You Tube search 2.Enter Movi Oz Old movies, movies from the 70s and 80s. Hundreds of movies; rows and rows and rows.
We've our weekends planned for several years :-) The first to see will be Silver Streak with Gene Wilder/Richard Pryor, one which I've longed to see again.
Happy Viewing,
Always be nasty to nasturtiums.
What would happen if you treated an azalea like a nasturtium?
note to self
Wow, I have trouble sitting through most of those old movies... Good for you however.
Youtube has a ton of stuff.
Like if you find something that you like on Curiosity Stream you can probably find it on YouTube.
Smithsonian is the only content provider that seems like they have some good unique content.
Post your ROKU paycheck so we know for a fact you are a SHILL.
Enter Movi Oz on You Tube Search
Prepare to be entertained.
We use our cell data for all internet at home. We just got the ‘unlimited” data plan. Our 4K TV has Amazon prime built in.
TONS of free stuff there too. I just watched “A boy and his dog” again for the first time in over 30 years. I forgot how good it is.
I tried to watch some old sci-fi recommendations on Amazon Prime. Those movies were so terrible they should never have been made. I did see a comical 1950’s nudist movie. Well, a little bit until I saw what it was. It’s amazing what used to pass for Pr0n back in the day. Guys and gals walking around in some rocky forest wearing nothing but shoes. I guess if I was a teenager I’d be impressed...
Is that with early movie career of Don Johnson?

where is “YouTube Search” on Roku?
Or “Movie Oz” ?
PS Does anyone know what happened to XTV channel on Roku? Half the stuff there no longer works and most of the good movies are gone (yes, they were probably not legit copies)
I have a 25 foot HDMI cable running from my computer to my TV. I can watch and listen to anything on the internet on the TV.
Bkmrk.
These days, those old movies have a great deal to offer. Absolutely no comparison between then and ‘now’.
Not familiar with Amazon TV; not familiar with Roku TV. We’ve a Samsung Smart and are very happy with it.
Sometimes the quality of their movies vary. Some are unwatchable. For background noise it’s ok.
I remember watching ‘Emil and the Detectives’ and it looked like they were filming it while it was on TV. There was a bright light in the center (guess they couldn’t turn the flash off), and you could tell when they changed recording devices.
XTV was just too good to be true. I miss the hell out of it.
Silver Streak is a great Pryor/Wilder movie.
Patrick McGoohan does a ruthless villain very well.
In before: “I threw my TV away 25 years ago.”
2 words for me, “Android Box”
I have 2 of these babies...

If your set is fairly new, you probably have both. Ours does. We only use the Amazon Prime because we are a prime member (we live in the sticks and buy a LOT from them) so most of the content is free. We’ve not had TV since 1997 and use this to hit old movies.
On a side issue, we tried a couple of TV shows but they just string you along. We haven’t the time.
On the bright side, it exposed us to two REALLY good movies. One was called Taking Chance and the other, Ink. But neither is a kid movie. They’d bore them to death.
