Melania Trump attended the Ford’s Theatre Annual Gala alongside President Trump in Washington on Sunday.
For the gala, the first lady wore a $2,595 crepe draped gown from Filipino designer Monique Lhuillier‘s 2017 resort collection.
She paired the glamorous floor-length silk gown, which featured a front knot at the waist and cape back detailing, with Manolo Blahnik pumps — also reverting to her signature hairstyle.(snip)

OMG. The difference is amazing...and unsettling!
FWIW, I've never been one to express total disdain for Michelle fashion. I like that she sometimes has fun with fashion risks. I also like, a lot, that the Michelle effect has women and girls much more likely to wear a dress. Females just seem to look and act more feminine and pretty when we wear a dress. JMHO

I guess Melania got a discount because she used 50% less fabric and the designer didn’t throw up near as much during the fittings.

MO knows good fashion sense, she just fails to use what she knows.

She has no waistline and that dress is tight and structured at the waist. Bad choice. Also, black women can wear very dynamic colors (certain greens and orange) that don’t become white women - so she picks pink??

I don’t think the gown flatters Melania at all. I would call this one of Melania’s rare fashion “misses.”
Melania looks as great as always-fashionably well dressed like Nancy Reagan was-and Michelle looks like she is wearing shiny pink food wrap...
MO’s dress is very pretty in my opinion - but of course MO’s odd body is hard to deal with. Lady Melania could wear anything (or nothing) and look better than anyone else.
Well...maybe Sophia Loren at the height of her beauty could outdo MT although it might be a draw.
What an awful choice that dress is. An orange sheath would have been better.

Howcum a gown by the same designer, on Melania looks elegant, and gorgeous, and sublime; while the one they put on Moochie looks like a couple of people held her still, while some others decked her out in a couple of rolls of Saran wrap? As a dumb old male chauvinist pig, I’m confused.
I didn't watch it, and the reviews acknowledged I didn't miss anything but propaganda.
MO’s odd body...... That just illustrates the folly of trying to camouflage a man’s body in a woman-shaped dress.
