As a side note, Bob Dylan's closing song in the movie "Cross the Green Mountain" was in my opinion one of his best songs ever and likely one of the best theatrical movie closings ever............
“..I don’t know why but I get tears in my eyes whenever I listen to this song....”
Because it’s sad as Hell, brother... We ripped ourselves apart for four years. 660,000+ dead Americans, mothers greiving over sons, husbands, brothers... families destroyed.
It definitely evokes something deep in the soul.
But after all... that’s what good music supposed to do.
RE Dylan:
That is also an amazing song.
Always appreciated his work. I dig out “Blood on the Tracks” and sit back with a couple of bourbons and my twelve string and play along every once in a while.
“Tangled up in BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....” Haha!
“He got into dealing with slaves, an somethin’ inside o’ him died...”
Great music from a better day for it, for sure.
