Global Warming conspiracy goes back at least a hundred year, long before the CIA.
People said the same thing about the CIA putting LSD in people's drinks and then following them to see what they did.
Turns out it was true.

Fact: Global warming got pushed early and hard by the British when Prime Minister Thatcher was looking for leverage against the coal miners. Now they’re hauling wood from the Amazon jungle to Newcastle, to burn for power, and calling it “carbon neutral”.

In the past some other Freepers have posted pictures of newspapers going back (as I recall) to the late 1800’s proclaiming that the threat of Global Warming could end our world.
There aren’t really any new ideas on the left, they just keep recycling the old ones.
All true. Plus GMO hysteria (some GMO may be harmful, but not saying, as both sides have motivation). If dupes are spreading it, check for any hard evidence. Plus ask: who benefits?
Plus it distracts from certain corporate issues. Example: who owns the water that fills all those bottled water bottles, and how’d they get title?
What happens when the last guano deposit is mined out? True Bats gotta s**t, but farms use more than we can replace. We’re good for nitrogen, but not for phosphates.
Why doesn’t somebody dump a bit of iron into the ocean? When fish populations double, starvation will drop for a bunch of years. And why not solar power satellites? Sunshine 24/7 up high enough, and infrared less harmful to birds than windmills. Need a new Moon Treaty, and Earth would get a bit warmer, but no technical issues.
Answer, of course, is money. The CAGW “concern” lobby gets tens of billions a year, and wants to ratchet that up up hundreds of billions a year. A Rached business.
The first time I specifically recall hearing the term “greenhouse effect” was in the 1973 film “Soylent Green.” However, I have a vague sense of knowing what the term referenced, so I must have previously heard of the concept. I was 13 years old at the time.
Bull. The end of the Younger Dryas was less than 10,000 years ago, and the temperature rose an average 8-10 C worldwide in a very short period of time. We have several guesses as to the mechanism, but no explanation that everyone accepts.
And of the CO2 we put into the atmosphere as humans, each year half is removed, mostly to the ocean, the rest to living things. Earth is much greener than 80 years ago, to the tune of feeding an extra 1.2 billion due to more CO2 in the atmosphere and the ocean. The remaining billions are due to more efficient agriculture, from many different techniques.
See Svante Arrhenius (1859-1927). Arrhenius suggested a doubling of the CO2 concentration would lead to a 5oC temperature rise. He and Thomas Chamberlin calculated that human activities could warm the earth by adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. This research was a by-product of research of whether carbon dioxide would explain the causes of the great Ice Ages.
Ångstrom (not THE Ångstrom, but his scientist son) countered. One of the arguments presented by Ångström was that the main CO2 absorption band is between 14-16 micron and that band is also absorbed by water vapor (which is correct). None of this matters because radiative heat transfer is only 20% of the energy transferred to the atmosphere
Maybe he means the Climate Idiots Association.
The Leftist Greens are being snookered IMHO by powerful forces of business and banking who do have ties to the CIA through the various orgs (Bilderberg, CFR etc. etc.)
Some definite material I’ve read came from annual meeting papers for Wal-Mart.
Sam Walton’s son Rob was Chairman of the Board 15 years ago when he set the company on course to embrace “sustainability” which means operating as if man made climate change was real.
Conservatives brought resolutions to the annual stockholder meetings objecting to the company embracing a left-wing political agenda.
But the company’s answer ignored the politically based objection to simply say it was best for the company business wise to operate as a company that believed in climate change. It would make Wal-Mart more profitable.
Big companies will benefit from a world where they can use climate change to cut costs because of the economy of scale while smaller companies are burdened by the need to comply with environmental regulation.
More importantly the “climate change” regime taxes little people and small business for using energy while giving big business “carbon credits”.
His timing is way off.
He is saying the CIA did this in the 50’s!
But The Global Cooling/Next Ice Age scare occurred in the 70’s, and the Global Warming scare did not take off until the 80’s and later!
Well with Communists IN the CIA, this wouldn’t surprise me.
