Marcus Welby was not my favorite show back then, but I do remember Consuelo. A very nice lady, back when a distinctive American culture was depicted on TV shows.
R.I.P. Elena Verdugo.
It always seemed to me that Elena played down her natural attractiveness in order to suit certain roles.
She stayed busy as an actress on TV series for many years, so it all worked out for her.
I remember watching Meet Millie as a kid and thought she was so pretty. RIP Ms. Verdugo
Wow her only child died at the age of 50 in 1999.
Funny name, Verdugo. Spanish for hangman
RIP.
There’s Barbra Streisand’s husband....
Shocker....their marriage lasted almost 20 years, so far.
Wow. RIP. I would never have guessed she was still alive
I thought it was an uneven marriage when the got married. She is ugly and he can't sing but there is a great deal of money involved. Then you look at Tiger Woods and his beautiful women with a fortune of 740 million left over from his divorce yet he is miserable.
So sad to hear this. She was one of my favorites, and a fellow Californio— one of the old landed Spanish families of Old California. Verdugo was a descendant of Jose Maria Verdugo, a Spanish army officer who in 1784 was granted grazing rights to a 36,000-acre area that included much of what is now Glendale, Burbank, Eagle Rock and La Crescenta. The Los Angeles area of Verdugo Hills is named after her family. May she rest in peace.
