What is it with riding lawn mowers and drunkenness? Seems like I see one of these incidents every other week!

I know they can arrest you for Drunk in public but that isn’t a DUI..

A caller told dispatch an intoxicated man was lying near a lawn mower in the intersection at 10th and Peach streets about 9:30 p.m. The driver, later identified as Ryan J. O'Toole, appeared to have been going south against one-way traffic on 10th and had been in the process of turning west on Peach Street when he fell off the mower, the document says.

I expect it is people with multiple DUIs who take to lawn mowers once they lose their automotive licenses.

Don’t need a license or license tabs for a lawn mower.. Bicyclist ride the wrong way all the time and don’t get tickets..

lying beside your mower is not a crime.. Neither is lying down intoxicated..
