Maybe the Pope shouldn’t make comments about DJT’s appearance...or maybe it’s just a funny joke. But truth of the matter is he has gained weight and I wonder if it’s the stress.

Trump is too valuable...I don’t want anything bad to happen to him.

Good point. Maybe it was constructive criticism.

Yup. But remember, the Pope is a flaming asshole. He sticks his nose in on issues that are none of his business. The jerk should stay home and polish his gold knick knacks.

Both the Pope and Trump grew up in an era when a comment about your weight was just a comment, not a statement implying moral failure. Trump has put on weight since he met Melania — perhaps he really does enjoy Slovenian food. I wouldn’t mind a slice of that cake myself.

It seems many a translation is lost from his lips to translator’s tongues. How often must these be explained and mended? Not, by far, my favorite POPE. Not that that matters.

If you go to Slovenia have the Bled Creme Cake or Blejska kremna rezina if you think you can say that.

You’ll be glad you did.

Around here (NE Ohio), a lot of the bakerys and butcher shops have homemade potica at Easter time and I've known a few ladies who made it from scratch. The price for a large loaf has gone up to close to $20. I'm told that this is due in part to the price of walnuts. Well worth the price, yumm!

Looks like there’s an Italian version of it too.. it looks like a pretty tasty treat.

Italian Cakes Putizza Recipe

Ingredients
For the Dough
2 1/2 cups wheat flour
1/8 cup baker’s yeast
1 cup milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup unsalted butter
2 egg yolks
1 spoonful rum
grated zest of one lemon
salt to taste
For the Filling
3/4 cup nut kernels
3/4 cup raisins
3/4 cup pinenuts
3/4 cup almonds
3/4 cup grated dark chocolate
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
grated zest of one lemon
juice of one small orange
2-3 spoonfuls milk
butter

Instructions
1. In a cup, let the yeast melt in warm milk with just a spoonful or two of flour and a teaspoon of sugar for about one hour.
2. Whip yolks with sugar, a hint of salt and rum. Add zest and flour, gradually. Add the risen mixture of flour and yeast, knead and let it rise for half an hour more.
3. Panfry breadcrumbs in butter
4. Roll it down and spread on its surface a filling prepared with above mentioned minced ingredients. Roll it up and arrange the roll in spiral shape.

The WaPo "writer", who barely speaks his own native language of "journosmear": “The Pope and Melania Trump had an awkward exchange about nut bread..."

The WaPo bodyslam candidate has never ground the gears a little bit when shifting into another, unexpected language.

Because he barely speaks one language...
