The FBI is examining whether Russian officials suggested to President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, that Russian banks could finance Trump associates' business ventures if US sanctions were lifted or relaxed, Reuters reported on Friday, citing a current US law enforcement official.
The possibility first came under scrutiny after Kushner met with the CEO of Russia's state-owned Vnesheconombank in December 2016. The meeting came on the heels of Kushner's meeting with Russia's ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak, at Trump Tower, in which he reportedly floated the possibility of setting up a secure line of communication between the Trump transition team and Russia.
Kushner suggested using Russian diplomatic facilities in the US to communicate, which would essentially conceal the Trump team's interactions with Russian officials from US government scrutiny, The Washington Post reported on Friday.

Even if, and that is a big if, it happened exactly as stated, exactly what crime has been committed here? It only rises to the level of a US crime if someone accepts a bribe. If a Russian offered a bribe and the offer is turned down, there is no US crime.
And one would have to also determine that the loan offers were at more favorable terms than those generally available. Just mentioning that loans might be available to fund projects isn't really a bribe. Both Trump and Kushner have loans available from many sources. While I think that it would be inappropriate for them take loans from Russian banks, we haven't even come close to that.
And even if they want to complain that Kushner was supposed to report it, DJT is the chief law enforcement officer of the US. If Jared mentions to him that the Russians said loans might be available, he has reported it to his boss and to law enforcement.
for a 20-minute meet and greet, they sure seemed to have about 3 hours worth of convo if the press is to be believed.
He would be pardoned dontcha think.

I would hope the new administration would set up back channel communications with potential problem regimes, Russia, China and even N Korea if possible. That would be the absolute first best step in making America Safe Again. This is not a crime, it’s is an expectation!
The FBI investigation is not a criminal investigation - it’s a counterespionage investigation - which has been pointed out repeatedly by Andy McCarthy. They are two different types of investigations. In other words, the fact that they are examining whether this occurred doesn’t suggest that they are considering charging Kushner with a crime. But the stupid/lying lib media jumps to that conclusion. And even if Kushner did commit a crime - and this report doesn’t suggest that he did - it wouldn’t reflect on Trump.
