Report suggests potentially alarming development in Kushner's meeting with head of Russian bank

The FBI is examining whether Russian officials suggested to President Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, that Russian banks could finance Trump associates' business ventures if US sanctions were lifted or relaxed, Reuters reported on Friday, citing a current US law enforcement official.

The possibility first came under scrutiny after Kushner met with the CEO of Russia's state-owned Vnesheconombank in December 2016. The meeting came on the heels of Kushner's meeting with Russia's ambassador to the US, Sergey Kislyak, at Trump Tower, in which he reportedly floated the possibility of setting up a secure line of communication between the Trump transition team and Russia.

Kushner suggested using Russian diplomatic facilities in the US to communicate, which would essentially conceal the Trump team's interactions with Russian officials from US government scrutiny, The Washington Post reported on Friday.

This "potentially alarming" development (if it actually occurred - it only says the FBI is looking at whether it did) is completely incompatible with the idiotic Democrat/media story line for the last several months (after the first idiotic story line, that Russia hacked voting machines in WI, PA, MI) i.e., that the Trump campaign "collaborated' with Russia's email hacking well before the election, presumably in exchange for a promise to end sanctions.

If the Russians were trying to make contact with the Trump transition team after the election, then no relationship existed (and certainly not any collaboration) before the election (whatever such collaboration was supposed to have consisted of, which is never explained of course).

But the lunatic Dem media just makes it up as they go.

In relation to the investigation, I keep hearing words like potential, alleged, and alarming and possible. Words I dont here are did, we know, ordered, etc. So until the language changes this is a lot of might and maybe.

Joe McCarthy was right about these people. And now, there are more communists in the US than there are in Russia.

And the faction most vociferous in protesting the tactics of McCarthy, we now see shamelessly going far beyond anything he ever did in their efforts to smear the people who actually love America.

My head stopped spinning over this long ago; but I still can’t quite cease being amused at these clowns.

I said the same about WMD and Iraq

If CHENEY really believed there were NO WMDS in Iraq, we would have found some.

The FACT we found none actually means ‘WE’ honestly believed they were there.

Same if the FL chads would have overturned the election and handed it to algore...

ALL the House & Senate would do is exchange notes with each other as BOTH sides would have switched their position on whatever.....

I believe they call this moving the goalposts...they know they won’t find anything on Trump before election day so they now must turn their talking points to after election day...

Hmm. Ironic if true. Would this not be consistent with the Dems’ open borders / open trade policies?

Jared will play the role of John Dean in this drama, if he is faced with the slightest capability, he will spill his gut, regardless of its truthfulness. This pretty boy could bring down an administration.

Let's be fair to Jared Kushner here. The left DETESTS Kushner because he, Kellyanne Conway, and Stephen Bannon got Trump elected. They especially detest Kushner because he is Jewish and is from an apolitical family, so he's seen as a traitor for pushing so hard for Trump. So...the knives are out for Kushner. Let's not turn on him or assume he'll turn on Trump. He deserves our support. Assuming he'll betray Trump is exactly what our foes would like us to assume.

Kushner makes my skin crawl. His father and uncle are the worst. The stories in Jersey about those two are legendary. This is no reflection on DJT who is exceeding my wildest expectations.

patently absurd. trump and his associates don’t need “Russians” to “finance” their ventures. They have legal, domestic access to all the money they could possibly need to ever borrow.
