I lived in Tucson Arizona years ago and marveled at the existence of an "Ohio Club," composed of perfect strangers who all happened to have moved there from Ohio. They would gather in the park and, I guess, trade stories about Ohio, since they had nothing else in common and no other reason to be there. Great example of a granfaloon.
