FULL TITLE: Parents slam Ohio middle school after they suspended their seventh grade son for 10 DAYS because he 'liked' an Instagram photo of an airsoft gun

A seventh grader in Ohio was suspended from his middle school for 10 days after liking a photo of a gun on Instagram.

Zachary Bowlin was given the harsh punishment from staff at Edgewood Middle School in Trenton after he liked the social media post showing an airsoft gun that shoots pellets with the caption: 'Ready'.

'I liked it, scrolling down Instagram at night about 7, 8 o'clock I liked it,' Zachary told WXIX. 'The next morning they called me down (to the office) patted me down and checked me for weapons.'

So, schools employ people to snoop on students’ Instagram accounts?

So, schools employ people to snoop on students’ Instagram accounts?

Yes, it distracts people from their utter failure at educating children.

All those union employees have to stay busy somehow.

“Yes, it distracts people from their utter failure at educating children.”

It distracts from the fact that the teachers are nailing the students at school!

NVM, Liked it the night before. There was no threat. This is about as stupid as the pop tart gun suspension.

I can think of a lot of vile, misogynist, anti-social, anti-police, racist music he could “like” and not get in trouble for. Some of the artists of that music even got to perform at the White House during the last 8 years.

The one proven method of effectively dealing with this type of absurd behavior is by retaining the services of an attorney and slapping a suit on the school, school board, and every single person involved in making the decision to suspend the student.

Time for the parents to sue the crap out of this school + district + every single person individually who anything to do with this decision.

Outside of school grounds and when not under in loco parentis (for example on a field trip or school event) a kid has virtually EVERY constitutional right that adults have! (note: I know this has been established in some court cases but I don’t have then handy)

This is beyond education and entered pure indoctrination — without even a fig leaf.

just when you'd think our public schools couldn't get any more absurd under libturd control. The school is applying the Eric Holder plan to disarm this country; train their little minds to hate/fear guns

Once again, so-called “academics” exhibit the paradoxical truth that they are the stupidest, most bureaucratic and narrow-minded people on earth.

If these people play their cards right, their kid just got a free ride to college courtesy of the taxpayers who allowed these idiots to be voted in.

Not unless the school day lasts until 7:00 pm.

In which case there is another problem.
