BETHLEHEM, Pa. (CBS/AP) A man has been cited for disorderly conduct after police say he freaked out when he saw a Confederate flag displayed in a Pennsylvania hotel window as part of a Civil War-themed wedding.
The (Easton) Express-Times says police charged the man with making the disturbance at the Hotel Bethlehem on Saturday. His name wasnt immediately released.
Police Chief Mark DiLuzio says the man was cited for freaking out, screaming and yelling and creating a very aggressive and disorderly scene.
The flag was flown next to an American flag. The couple met during a Civil War re-enactment and their wedding followed that theme, with people in period uniforms and dresses.
The chief says the couple just wanted their theme to be of the Civil War era. There was no political message.

Unbelievable.
Where did he get the flags? I bought the last flag out of Amazon a year or two ago.
You can’t yell “Fire!” in a crowded theater.
“Freaking out” because someone is displaying a historical flag should also be a step too far in the Free Speech battle. Displaying that flag? Absolutely protected by the First Amendment. Freaking out and demanding that the flag be removed? That’s suppression of someone’s constitutional right and the freaker should be fined, IMO. It’s not OK and we need to stop tolerating that kind of crap.
You want to debate the issue of the Civil War? Fine.
You want to freak out because you hold an opposing view? Not Ok.
Confederate flags are not uncommon in the hinterlands of PA. I have seen them flying 24/7 outside homes and on trucks.
another day, another snowflake realizing the world does not revolve around them., how very sad
Looks like another snowflake was triggered by history.

Typical illiberal liberal freak. No doubt a Democrat activist looking for attention. They’re all alike.
I live just outside of Pittsburgh, and see them for sale at the local flea markets all the time.

Here’s a site for all sorts of flags, all made in America.

True, and also in the Peoples Republic of Maryland, especially around Baltimore.

...Police Chief Mark DiLuzio said the Confederate flag was placed inside the window of the hotel, 437 Main St., in the early afternoon hours for a private wedding.
...
Fountain Hill resident Leo Atkinson was walking along Main Street Saturday when he also heard the man shouting expletives. He said traffic was blocked in both directions as police intervened.
"I didn't know why he was yelling, then I saw the flag," Atkinson said, noting he later learned there was a wedding being held at the hotel.
When officers arrived, the man continued shouting obscenities, ignored commands to stop and had to be carried away, DiLuzio said. He did not immediately have the identity of the man being charged.
In a situation like this I always wonder if drugs and/or alcohol was a factor.
GadsdenandCulpeper.com has confederate flags for sale.
Police: ‘Moronic idiotic snowflake freaked out by seeing a historic flag that doesn’t have ANYTHING to do with race.’
Yup, give the twit a pacifier.
Well, thank you! As I said, I have several but it’s nice to know I can still buy them. My English friends like to own them.
I have always liked the Confederate flag. I never thought of it as a racist symbol. Still don’t.
There’s something about a “couple”, which appears to be the only sentence left out of a harshly edited paragraph. Any locals got some context?
Much obliged for the additional context. It wasn’t clear whose flag it was and what it was doing in a window.
Probably a sutler supply outfit being as they are CW re-enactors.
